Bleeding and Quad Aim Kitin Body Part
Bleeding and Quad Aim Kitin Body Part
For fighting skills I have taken up to bleeding 2, quadruple aim kitin front legs, body and head 2. I have also taken increase damage 4. Now when I use increase damage 4 alone on a Kippee I get a hit of 288 damage just about everytime. Now if I create a new skill combo of increase damage 4, quadruple aim kitin body, and bleeding 2 my hits only do between 80 and 120 damage, I don't get the hits nearly as often, and it takes up more stamnia. So what is the deal here?
Re: Bleeding and Quad Aim Kitin Body Part
Hey Raynes. Sorry I vanished last night. I started experiencing power flickers, the first of which killed my network, and after a couple of resets, I just gave up and read a book.
Anyway, on this topic, one thing I had heard is that head hit does have a better chance of inflecting stat changes on a mob. I haven't tested it though.

First of all, it's not "quadruple aim", it's quadraped, as in four-legged. You couldn't have taken quadraped kitin aim because it's either quadraped (animal) or kitin (...kitin) aim. I believe it makes you always, or more likely, to hit that part of the body which influences what happens when you inflict a critical hit.
Re: Bleeding and Quad Aim Kitin Body Part
I could be wrong on this, and it is my theory, so don't shoot me.
In combining different stanzas to the attack, you're increasing the checks for success by the number of actions.
I've seen this too both with Increase Damage and Bleeding. If I uses each skill exclusively, I will hit for double damage or my success to bleed the mob is usually each attempt. But, as soon as I combine them, I miss more, and I don't get a successful bleed.
It's more evident with bleed and circular strike. Only so often will I see multiple messages that my surrounding mobs are bleeding massively.
So experiment, test things out, mix and match as you please. Oh, and using more stamina, you have to credit for each stanza you add to the action. Your stamina use is a summation, not an average.
I hope this helps.

Re: Bleeding and Quad Aim Kitin Body Part
I noticed the same thing with several other combos. But aimed has to be bugged. I have aim Kittin head 3 and it has never gone off.
Re: Bleeding and Quad Aim Kitin Body Part
Aimed attacks are supposed to gaurantee a body location hit. A critical hit on a specific body part is designed to cause a particular effect (attack slow, snare, stun, etc). One of the other posts lists hit with corresponding effect.
The only real advantage I have seen is on mobs that are resistant to the weapon used. It appeared that one of the locations was not resistant. This may be inaccurate.

Re: Bleeding and Quad Aim Kitin Body Part
If that is true then aimed is a waste of points IMHO.
Re: Bleeding and Quad Aim Kitin Body Part
Nihir is right I was wrong in how I labeled them. But it still seems that if you combine increase damage 4 with aim kitin head 2, you should be able to hit the head with more damage that usual. That just isn't the case as far as I can tell.
Now since it seems that the aim skills are a waste this brings up another question. Since the aim skills are the primary skill choices for melee, then if they aren't worth anything, what is?

Not too much of a waste when you can take advantage of a higher percentage of success to stun/slow/deplete stamina/etc. without using magic.babaloui wrote:If that is true then aimed is a waste of points IMHO.
Though it was a lucky shot, I successfully stunned 2 cloppers at once with circular strike and a random tap on their heads. The synchronized stun sway was quite funny
