Re: SWG Refugees
And another SWG expatriate arrives on Atys. This game looks very cool, quite eager to forge out into a new world....

Re: SWG Refugees
I am an ex-SWG player also, I am currently seeking sanctuary from the evils of World of Warcraft... like a demonic hound it plagues me, lack of sleep and waking up in the middle of the night screaming 'SUNDER! SUNDER!' Dkp chasing me through a field of purple epix....but as ever, I digress...
I have found this game refreshing and intriguing, I love the whole 'alien' feel of the place..still not too sure about the science-fantasy aspect of it (the Karavan compound looks quite out of place in the Ranger Camp of the newbie area) but I am sure once I hit mainland it will marry up and become yet another 'oooooh' aspect of this game that I have come to find makes me smile.

Re: SWG Refugees
SWG Refugee here as well though i left out of boredom and not because I disliked the new changes. A company cannot expect to groom and build a solid playerbase if their core mechanics are constantly revised and remain in a volitile state.
WoW is another game I have recently played (having 2 level 60's) but I feel that the expansion will cause more harm then good considering that Blizzard is reducing diversity between the two factions by giving each the specialty class of the other. Horde Paladins? Please!!! The raidfest endgame is what really killed it for me though.

Re: SWG Refugees
Well to all of my fellow SWG refugees welcome to the living planet! I have been here for about a month now and will never return to the NGE far far away unless they go back to Pre-cu and keep the new proffs they made with NGE! Enough of the SWG rants though If you loved the freedom of PRE-Cu you'll love this game because it is even more in depth than that! The skill editing is a great aspect IMO!

Re: SWG Refugees
Some of my guildmates and I did the same thing. After a few days on the noobie island we all dropped our wasted accounts on SWG after 2and 3 yrs and came here. The game maynot be the SW universe but, for alot of the things we enjoyed pre-cu with swg are all here and much much more. In short THIS is the game we wanted when we were complaining about the precu bugs..
All i can tell you is Welcome to Atys and unlimited freedom of skills and adventure!

I couldn't agree more! I was a 34 month Vet myself when I left! I am a huge Star Wars Fan and that's what kept me there for soooooooo long! Now all I have to do is talk a couple of friends of mine that just started SWG to leave and come here!dcrispo wrote:Some of my guildmates and I did the same thing.
