Crafting Merchant

Okay, I'm feeling mighty silly. I just started playing Ryzom yesterday. I have a crafting mission - to make boots - but I think that I accidently sold my crafting tool, thinking it was an extra weapon. Yet, I am unable to find a crafting merchant to purchase another tool. I'm on the Fyros starter island.

I'm unable to cancel the mission. I was hoping that if I got it again, I'd be given a new tool.

I created my character to be a harvester, but I would like her to craft as well.

Can someone help?

I tried on two different occasions, but got no response. But I agree - that would have been the easiest solution.

The person you're looking for is the "Tool merchant" - on Silan, they should either be with the Matis mission giver or near the raw mats merchant, I can't remember

Near the raw mats merchant if I'm not mistaking. In one of those little buildings...

This is a common problem: buy a new crafting stanza only to find it grayed out. You have to buy a crafting tool for each type of crafting: ammo, armor, weapons,etc. And the foraging tool is not the crafting tool.
