Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

I know it shouldn't bother me but damnit it does :P

following on from that finding the most efficient way of grinding to max level is probably the worst thing you can do in Ryzom, and lots of people think thats a crazy thing to say, sadly a lot of them have left..

Plods/shalah ect are only worth hunting in teams with 3 or more people lvl 240+, its really not efficent with a team size less than 7 (and alot of damage dealers) plods are especially annoying as the majority of people use slashing weapons which plods resist, if you are forced to hunt in groups like that do shalah.
As morg said do great jugs untill the exp goes below about 1.5k and then move on the kincher, kinchers die fast but can take a while to pull as the spawn in normally spread out, have two people pulling or pull more than one at a time.

ps i hate plod teams they are a waste of time :)

I hate plods too! I got my 250 melee on Kinch... So you don't "Need" plods if you don't want... I also agree shalah are beter then plods...

So finding out the best way to do things is a mistake ?
So figuring out how to make the best amp, sword armour is a mistake ?
Finding out the best routers to sneak along is a mistake ?
Striving to find out the best way to maximise the time I get to play this game is a mistake ?
Playing a game well is a mistake ?

But don't get me wrong I'm not a powerleveller, my highest skill is still about 227, sometimes I just stand around looking at the colours and landscape while I talk, I heal out of team, I wait around sources for hours for the weather to change so I can craft a good item or provide some mats for a friend.

Is it so wrong when I do choose to actually up my skills that I choose to do it in the best possible way ?

Powerlevelling is just putting lots of time not skill into getting up, ive met many and mostly from the new breed of silan player who with 16 hours a day and access to cats and a slightly easier game than it used to be who just through sheer time have probably got higher skills than me in a month than I have in my whole time here. Whats so wrong with wanting to play smart compared to just playing long.

I tend to side with the Kincher and Plods as last resport group...

I disagree with this, some of the greatest colors can be found in PR... it's a psychodelic experience unlike anyplace else. The lack of light may make it appear colorless, but it is a world full of colors... it can be like moving while looking thru a kaleidoscope.

Actually it is colorful and very unique compared to other regions. But here, by colorless I meant the environment simply doesn't attract me to stay for more than few hours and always have been troubling for training (fancy word for grind - I know) purpose especially when solo, scary too. :)

I do visit PR now and then and to me it really is a wonderful place, and it always will be as long as I explore it in a limited manner.

i made a very simple and rather gently put comment that shouldnt be hard to understand. obviously it was as you impressively managed to take it a personal insult and complete flame on everything you hold dear.

so another simple comment: get a grip.

I quoted you because i agreed with what you said, but as you are seemingly psychotic i wont again..

Well, those words certainly don't fall on dead ears here, friend.

Thank you all for your advice & guidance! Found a good Kincher spawn last night where we will likely spend a good portion of our time for many levels.

Thx again, all and if there are any more tips, plz let me know!
