I believe that the semi focus on FvF/PvP is a smart move for Ryzom, as much as I'd hate to admit. With the Outposts and Spires, it will grant more content, designed with PvP in mind, which to offer the "radical mauler newbies" from the other games. A lot are constantly asking how PvP is in this game, and I garuntee that our numbers wouldn't be as high as they are with the new trial if it wasn't for some larger focus beyond PvE. With the RPers and PvE people gaining the Ring, the PvP people have something to look forward to -- Spires, which won't just prove to be a meaningless fight either. You get to make lands, they get to control lands. Fair? We know we are getting more PvE too, with the new upcoming Kitin Lair, and who knows what else?

So, like someone before be said, just play your character, voice what you want, but let the balancing issue be delt with by the developers. Its a no brainer they can see hard factional numbers, and we can't.

One of the prices we pay for Ryzom's uniqueness is the slowness of developer response. Things never act as planned once they're 'out in the field' but I don't believe they could, or can, act quickly enough to correct problems.

It does fall upon the community to use what we're given responsibly and to think of the overall health of the game, not just the devs.
