OK. In the wake of the forum activity regarding GM activity last week, I have been concerned that the wrong point got across. Allow me to attempt to clarify this.

I have dealt with GMs and Guides nearly one hundred times since I have begun playing Ryzom. During that time there has been one (indirect) incident where I took issue with a GM's approach. The remainder of my contacts with the GM/Guide community have left me very impressed.

I want the point to stand that we at CP appreciate the work that the GMs and Guides do. We recognize that the task is arduous and often thankless. We recognize that you have rules to follow, and we respect your duty to do so. We understand that you are swamped with information and tasks, and appreciate the incredibly fast response times that we normally see.

Specifically, I would like to thank Shadowthorn, Hesperos, and Azhrarn for all of their help so far in the game. These GMs (and Guide) do the company a great service. Nevrax, GMs and Guides are the only real time interaction that many players will ever have with your company. They can make a believer or break the faith in one conversation (or the lack thereof). I would strongly encourage the powers that be to make sure that you retain these members of your team and the others out there like them. They will help your company, possibly more than any other single asset, when the time comes to weather a storm.

GMs and Guides, please keep performing at the level you all have been. It does not go unnoticed!

Insanely fast response times, polite and knowledgeable beyond the scripts and just generally cool. The GMs I've had contact with have been great.

Only negative issue I had was a petition against a RUDE foul mouthed verbally abusive kid player(By the time this jerk finally SHUT his flaming yap, he had insulted everyone except teens and under, and white anglo males under 40. Had this been real life, he would have gotten his fanny handed to him by a mob of angry women), I know it was after 9PM central time. And I also know that no less than ten people ALSO petitioned about him. I never got a reply from a GM and never saw a GM in open chat.

I do think that GM's need a name tag that included GM in it. And I think that everyone involved with a situation needs to be contacted.

ALL of this would have NOT been necessary IF ignore was working properly.

I have had other situations were the GM response was stunningly prompt, in the matter of seconds, not hours. And I am rather certain SOMETHING was done with the jerk player...I have him on ignore, and he has been "offline" for over a week now. He either got a "vaction" OR scraped a character.
