But i think its important to send a clear signal to everyone..

That kind of behaviour is not acceptable.

Whether they did it or not.. is irrelevant to this point.. The message that Greifing will noy be tollerated in our community is however very relevant.

Also making it a bit of a joke and lighthearted helps everyone deal with it a bit better anyways

I have to agree with Anissa a bit on this subject.

I honestly do not know the members of Trial and Error. I believe I've seen some around Yrkanis, I think I mostly just giggle at their names. But, I cannot and will not allow myself to start being cruel to a group of people that I, myself, have not experienced-or seen actual proof-of their cruelty. I have had people harass me with out just cause, and I would never wish that upon someone else.

Legend, you were right in reporting those people to the correct "authorities," but I do not believe you were right in giving specific names of people. Now, they will become the harassed by a good amount of Atys, when it really isn't anyones business but yours and theirs.

ok i see some are not happy i named names ...well i was not happy when they try'd to blow my Source up .i was not happy when they stopped me playing the game Ryzom as i was trying to do , i was not happy about the mobs pulled on me by these guyz,i was not happy about trying to be pushed into Pvp ...or threats being made at me ...

I called support in early on this and they seen it all...so its not my word v T&E ..
I am not asking players to go after these guys ...all i am doing is giving a heads up about a bunch of players (5) who think it is ok to do what they want...to who they want ..where ever they want .

If they where allowed to get away with this once ..who else would be next..i was thinking of the game and its players when i called support..not myself ...i think this is a Great game and donot wish to see it turned into a bully boys play ground...if some of you wish to hide your heads in the sand and say it is nothing to do with you ! fine ...but i will not stand by and let this game end up being run by mob rule.
somethings we donot like ...we can put up with it ..or do something about it ...i choose to do something about it ..and yes name names ...you cannot plz everyone ..and thats true here ..What you gonna do when the bully boys come pick on you thats up to you ...i have done what i thought was right..thx for your time ....and thankyou for your support

Hi. I am tne-odintge. I'm posting from another member's account because I don't currently have an active Ryzome account.

#1: The New order whatever the hell is not who we are. We're Trial and Error and we've been TNE for over 4 years now, close to 5. Not only that but tne played the alpha of Ryzom so we're certainly not new to this game either.

#2: I'm glad that some random guy dieing in the bog constitutes FOUR PAGES of whining, moaning, and hugging.

#3: From what I understand in the end one of our guys rezzed the guy so ***edited by Soulsnatcher - profanity, or abbreviated profanity is not permitted here, please read the codes of conduct to avoid this happening again*** is the problem.

#4: If you're so worked up over people jumping on your sources that you come crying on the forums and make some "legend" post with some of the worst grammar I've ever seen, you need to re-consider what's important in your life. What did you lose? 40-50 mats? 20 minutes? Oh god no! The horror!

I have known legend since very long time; and want to speak for his defense.
He is a very good mannered and peaceful player and one for who I have lot of respect.

Seen his number of post in nearly two years, I think he was right to send this message: one can agree or not about name and shame but we all agree that this kind of behaviour is not what we want in ryzom.

Now, I went to have a little look on those T&E forums and can only say omg, swearing, l33t ... not very nice...

In all of my post you found one thing to counter. You have no answer to anything else? I'm dissapointed.

I still enjoy how much people coddle and hand-hold others over the internet about hurt feelings because of a game. If this is the level of pain and suffering you take over something like this in a game, how do some of you people function in real life?

I really do not know how you can speak of other people skills in english when you end your post on such a sentence. I think I broke my translator.

Now I didn't try to counter anything at all in your post, the tone employed speaks for itself anyway.
Was just giving a little bit of credit to Legend and "countering" some other posts which, however true they are, could minimise what was reported.

Now, about pain, suffering and real life...
Life is a game anyway and the chances are high that people behaving badly or bullyinbg other in any game will also do it IRL, that is what is most scary imo, not the fact that ppl react to it....

You, coming to react to that and trying to reverse the situation by blaming ppl who have been abused (as official) says a lot about the way your guild may be runned.. scary I must say; or maybe childish...

Edit: on a side note, just for information: TNE is used on Ryzom since beta for The New Empire, just bad luck you guys guild name is very similar.
Your guild been not as well known as The New Empire by Ryzom player, referring to it as T&E in this game, might avoid a lot of confusion for everyone (just my one cent opinion ).

The community here is a good one, for the most part, and one we're all very invested in keeping that way. The described behaviour, somewhat confirmed now in most people's minds by the tone of your post, is not acceptable to most of the community here and is going to draw this sort of backlash.

People play these games for fun, for relief, for escape. These things can be very important to them especially hobbies and entertainments that one puts a great deal of invested time and emotion into - both of which happen to varying degrees with MMOs.

When your fun has to come at the expense of other people's fun, something is wrong, not with them getting upset but with the way in which you get your jollies. Given the near-unanimous objection to this sort of thing, even by somewhat surprising people, I hope you'll pay attention to the reaction rather than brushing it off.
