Hi All.
right, what i have currently are two PCs setup on a network, ryzom is on both machines, and myself and my son have an account on each PC so we can play the game together, However,, just of late, it has been impossible to get more than 10 to 15 mins of gametime before his Ryzom crashes, with NEL report windows, we were putting it down to RAM, as his Ram does have some issues, but what i wanted to know, if anyone can clarify this for me is...
the Router is a D-Link 604 , is it possible that both PCs are trying to access the same port on the router? and if so, how do i alter it, so each PC has its own seperate port? i have looked at the settings of the router and simply cannot figure out how to do this, i have looked and looked for info at the D-Link site etc.. but nothing actually shows you how to do this step by step.
any help greatly appreciated...thx
Networking Ryzom
Re: Networking Ryzom
If things worked before and his system has just started crashing then I would say the fault lies with his system. If things were not networked properly then the problems would have cropped up right away as we have not had a patch or change in server IP/port since July.
Get something like memtest from http://www.memtest.org and put his system RAM through the test.
His system may also be suffering from cooling issues. Many players, including myself, have had to replace fans on either the CPU or video card due to Ryzom working them to the maximum.

Re: Networking Ryzom
hi
thx for the reply,
cpu temp and Graphics card temp were fine plenty of room for more heat, but we did run memtest, and it came up with 6 200bit errors, so changing that on friday, and hopefully thats the problem settled
