I always like more complexity and challenge to crafting, hunting etc., but am wary of unbalancing changes that make the game too easy. Adding +5 hp or focus on 15 pieces would be +75 more focus or hp shouldn't make much difference. Also most pieces would likely not be the best mixes for protections and resists etc., so there would be tradeoffs for getting that extra +5.
I think that master forragers, and those that have done it multiple times have earned a great reward.
But i also like the idea of making it cost a lot, so as not to make it cheap and you have to decide what is best.
For 500 sp:
You can get the shalah packer with 1000 storage space.
You can get the Great Kincher bodyguard to protect you from aggro (only while you're digging (he lasts as long as your bubbles are up) part of the pros stanza.
You can buy the NEVER ENDING PICK OF DEATH. Will not degrade, is not exhangeable, has 1000 sap load and is enchantable, added 250 focus.
You can buy the Atysan Terrain Stanzas.
You can buy a sap/hp credit for your stanzas. (this could have issues with people healing you thus increasing your "focus"... would have to work something out)
I think maybe increasing the bulk at mastering a forage would be best idea, so that a person can carry more. Or the ability to buy extra bulk as a stanza.

After your first Master harvest title, you basically end up with 2000 skill points each for each successive Master dig title.
No one really expects people to get all 5, so I figure if you have 8,000 extra SP possible, maybe you could have 10,000 SP of crazy special skills.
500 SP each would say you could have 4 of them for a second master title, and even a super dooper crazy person would not get all of the skills.

I'm loving these ideas, particularly the high SP cost skills. I think that's a perfect way of giving extra skills. Extra bag space, Knowledge 4 (that shows source content) and longer bubble life are my favourites, though that's not to say that tracking doesn't need some love (an "Exclude Mission Materials" stanza would be awesome!)
