Re: Hi, from a new player.
Hm, can I ask what a "PR digger" is please?
I've been working on Fighting lately to put points into Health: discovering the wonders of having a prospect blow up on me has driven home the need for more than 100 health!
I expect I'll carry on and get every tutorial quest done, and get as high level as I can before I hit the mainland.
I also found a site (I think with the word "Twazz" in it) which had diagrams of the Foraging and Crafting skill trees and it really looks quite terrifically interesting. I almost wish I was high level now, but I suspect the journey will be as much fun as the destination.
I've noticed every mob I've come across so far on the Start Island is not aggressive unless attacked - to what extent is that different on the Main Game Map? Are all creatures aggressive, or are there passive zones a Tradesman can explore with relative safety? Also, are mobs "grouped" (as in BAF - Bring a Friend) in as, I'm wondering in combat whether I will be able to pick off single mobs, or whether I'll have to have the power to deal with entire groups swarming on me.
Other than those few questions, things are going well. Crafting has slowed right down for me now (Level 21 Craft) and I'm just focusing on Prospecting and Harvesting at the moment. I used to play a Master Ranger in SWG for those who know the class, which means I'm very used, and comfortable, in spending hours hunting down resources. I genuinely enjoy that aspect of it and can't see myself getting bored of Harvesting.
Now enough of me waffling, it's time to log in

A PR digger is a homin who digs in the Prime Roots, the areas of Atys below ground, which are the only areas (along with the Nexus) where supreme dig mats can be founddigriz wrote:Hm, can I ask what a "PR digger" is please?
Some creatures are safe (herbivores, e.g. Yubos and some kitins) and some are aggro (carnivores, e.g. Ragus and the other kitins). The range that the mobs aggro at varies. Also some of the herbivore species are social, attack one and they all attack, but there are tactics to get around this. Social mobs are hard to deal with on your own, if they all attack you. There are also some mobs that are social with other species.digriz wrote: I've noticed every mob I've come across so far on the Start Island is not aggressive unless attacked - to what extent is that different on the Main Game Map? I'll leave you to find out each individual mobs behaviour, don't want to take all the excitement away
