Wishlist: Sub-Bag (not more weight/bulk)

Post by jennaelf »

I've thought about it for a while, and after much thinking and a month of gameplay (almost), I think what I'd like to see more than anything is a 'sub-bag' in the inventory.

I know there are filters on the bag, but when you have a HP set of jewelry and a Focus set of jewelry, and you are working on raising your Jewelry Crafting, selling things to the merchant can be tricky. I've narrowly avoided selling my q45, 25 HP earrings to Be'Tooly (RoS) probably a dozen times. I know my luck - eventually I'm going to cry to Enon for a replacement (or will be able to make my own - long way to that!)

So, simple, sweet, and not asking for more room/weight/bulk, etc. Just a sub bag into which I can place my spare armor or jewelry to keep it separate from the materials and things I've crafted. (Or vice versa, a sub bag into which I can craft.)

Any thoughts? Has this been discussed before?

I'd like a bag just for tickets. Or just a general bag to put stuff in you want to keep. Otherwise, I got TP tickets all over the place in my bag, its chaotic in there!

This sort of reminds me of WoW, and SWG, but it is a very good idea to keep organized. A bag for tickets, Digging equipment, PvP, or crafts would be great and would clean up the look of inventory.

I've been asking for this for a looooong time. The way they have armor and jewels set up in the game you'd think that they'd have an easy way to just tell which set is which, etc. keeping 2 spares of the Infinity uniform on a packer leads to great fun as I have to try and find which one is which as I move them to my bag. same with jewels. A way to quickly move them to my bag and not have to worry about them being the wrong one would be great. It'd also make crafting order trades easier... one smooth motion (specially for jewels...) instead of multiple trades, filling the squares, etc.

SWG does have this and its something I really enjoyed. Helps keep my houses organized as you can name them too. Only complaint there is the fact you can't see whats in a bag when its placed on a vendor. You have to go off the vendors rep and just remember the names of those who burned you in the past. If ryzom showed what was in the bag, both in the trade window and on the vendor, buying a suit of LA or HA would be much easier... no more hunting around for the pieces of the rest of the suit or finding out that they didn't put a piece on the vendor, etc. Just buy the "q250 Excel HQ Matis Heavy Armor" bag and you've got your set.

Actually crafting bags could be a skill ( part of a tailoring tree or whatever)

yep yep

there is a lot of room for improvement on the inventories o.o

kinda related, would really like an extra button when crafting at the stables to craft and sell direct to npc when grinding.

Yeah, some kind of plug-in to merchants/stable boy while crafting near them.

oh yes please :)

On a side note, I see the same suggestions raised and raised again, be here, in other threads, or in official feedback ones. Without affecting current Nevrax development plans, it would be nice if in a "Long Term plans/features" they added a section with suggestions the have been "acknowledged" or "accepted" to be implemented in the future. A page a player can consult, which could avoid "duplicate" suggestions

That's a cool idea, I'm sure lots of crafters would love that feature. :D

Having 'sub' bags or pockets would be nice, or at least some way to better organise your gear. Maybe even having the bag with pockets as a purchased 'upgrade' to the basic bag. While we're on the subject of inventories, can we have a filter for XP cats please? :D

The suggestions here would be much more useful things to work on than the (IMHO) pointless temporary inventory bug (sorry I mean FEATURE) they introduced.
