Thank you.
It is voluntary, by choice, that participants in OP battles choose to be there. The true neutral position is a fine and admirable line to tow, for it is a hard one, but if you choose it than you shouldn't be able to participate in the battles, themselves, unless you declare for a side.
Does it not occur to people, that the people, facing each other across the battlefield, are often friends when not engaged in battle? This is hard enough without declared neutrals making it worse as you are often friends as well.
Now for Karavan and kami aligned guilds with a difference of an opinion within their own faction or mercanaries, bring it on, whatever side you choose to be on. There is nothing like unknown spice to keep all, on both sides, on our toes and non-complacent.
Now, if there was only some PvE content for those who want to participate in the game as it is, this would be rocking, Souls. This request is a heartfelt plea to the devs to make this game the best it can be for everyone.
These are my opinions, they don't have to be yours. No offense is intended and my apologies in advance if any is taken.

Hello Souls, soulsnatcher wrote:If you decide that it is fun to drag a whole bunch of mobs onto one side during an OP battle, creating an unfair environment, again you will be stopped.
do I assume right that you want to say that aggro dragging to one side of the battle is not allowed, while you are OP fight neutral, but it is still allowed as a tactical measure if it is done by a OP fight combatant, or if one enters the battle field while aggro draging and decides to join a fight in the battle?

I techznically don't understand what the problem with neutrals healing actually is.vguerin wrote: The neutral healing needs to be fixed more than anything else, neutral healers in Yrkanis have been a probem for a long time.
Can a neutral healer heal an active FvF combatant (one who attacked a member of another faction)?
Could you explain the game mechanics to me?

Re: OP Battles
Depends how you look at the neutral's actions. Are they just some one who is a healer as their prime skill and don't like to see homins laid on the ground? If they only heal one 'side' then you could argue they are not being fair. If they are are healing their friends then I'm not so sure.hmclee wrote:Thank you.

If I was passing an OP battle and saw bodies lying around, I would attempt to heal them. Regardless of your silly 'sides'. Now you're telling me I'm gonna get into trouble for that? Rediculous.
Next you'll be saying the Red Cross should choose a side.

Re: OP Battles
Neutral in this context means a player that when entering the OP zone selected neutral (as opposed to attacker / defendant), and unrelated to faction allegiance.thlau wrote:I techznically don't understand what the problem with neutrals healing actually is.

An "op neutral" player is as of now, able to heal but cannot be stopped.
It can be argued that a neutral player should be able to heal anyone, anywhere and not be stopped by game mechanics. While this remains a valid opinion, that same neutral player should risk dying for his actions. In other words, the realistic aproach would be "full blown" global unconsensual PvP, but that's a big no-no, right?

Re: OP Battles
No, that's not the problem, the problem is that neither side can stop you from doing that.philu wrote: If I was passing an OP battle and saw bodies lying around, I would attempt to heal them. Regardless of your silly 'sides'. Now you're telling me I'm gonna get into trouble for that? Rediculous.
Unrelated, but the red cross does not run around in God mode healing at will.Next you'll be saying the Red Cross should choose a side.![]()

Re: OP Battles
We ran into this problem attacking the Matis OP in... wherever it was.
The activation area for the OP battle zone wasn't big enough, so the Kami forces were running into the zone, tagging up and getting insta nuked, while the healers hadn't yet entered the zone and so began healing, while still technically neutral, from beyond the zone. Not deliberate, but a mechanical problem.
In OP battles I think the healer should be tagged as the same side as the person they healed for 30 seconds or so after doing it.
---
I also think, in a broader sense, neutrals should be able to turn on a PvP flag that lets them attack or be vulnerable to both sides. So that even people who don't have a side can elect to enter tagged PvP. I wouldn't use it, but the 'neutral' (non factioned) group should be about choice and freedom.

Re: OP Battles
Yes it was hats off to the Kara on that OP battle in the Grove of Confusion, and the name of the area fitted the battle, I joined a group entered attack mode and died all within 5 seconds, and my battle was over before it begun

Re: OP Battles
when the red cros takes care of people they cart them OFF the battlefield and in most cases the people they take care of are not fit to return to battle.philu wrote:Depends how you look at the neutral's actions. if you heal then people are able to instantly re-engage in battle.
in short: making rl comparisons without actually thinking is stupid.
