Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

What should be the first priority for new development in Ryzom?

Ryzom Ring in a dead heat with Bug Fixes. I honestly believe that R2 will enable BOTH Player made content, and faster development of Dev-made content, including those other 7 worlds, etc.
Samar d'Naz - Homin, pure and simple.
Desert Nomad

Crafter, Digger, Healer, Bug Smasher, Grey Beard, Surrogate "Uncle" to the Dodgey Duo

TANSTAAFL (unless you're a newb trying to kill Master Kincher, then its YOU!)

I too think that R² will be a great addition. It has sooo much potential. :)

Yet lately I've started seeing people saying R² is nothing great and won't solve any problems. o_O !?
Jelathnia, Kasarinia, KianShi, Maethro, ShuaLi, and OPaxie (Arispotle)

There is a reason people are starting to question R2, People want something new to do and this is yet another, full of promise, failed to be delived in a resonable time piece of content. In general lots of people are hanging their hopes on what it can do, imagining it to be the cure for all problems. It will be greeted in the same way outposts where ... Some will love it and will spend loads of time creating the content they see lacking in Ryzom, others will say 'is that it?' and be disappointed and others will carry on as before as if it was never added.

As for development priorties, how about this:

Say what your going to deliver.
Say when your going to deliver it.
Deliver what you say and when you say it.

a new lv300 region(s), but without an increase in level cap - I'd really like to have a serious challenge that requires a high level team to work hard and risk some death. tbh the kitin lair they are talking about sounds no different to the current lairs but hopefully i am wrong.

1h/ranged stat activation - not just because of combat effectiveness but more from a crafting perspective. i am green with envy that 2h crafters get to spend months experimenting and having a challenge to make great weapons, with my 1h i max the dmg and speed and thats it, very boring and easy.

the RAID engine running hot, every weekend please!

I want to see more rites in the game.
That is what I want most.

But I can wait for them until R² is released, and the developed tools help to implement at least the rite mission part, but I don't see how it helps to implement the rite rewards.

The Tribe has Spoken! I am surprised (pleasantly) to see that adding more rites is favored by the majority of those polled. Especially since there were 8 total choices.

My list was not geared towards pie-in-the-sky development, but towards things that are already in the game (rites, bugs, skill balancing) and/or promised (goo creatures, diplomatic outposts, spires, Rzyom Ring modules - e.g. Kitin lair).

The number of rites is woeful, in my opinion, compared to the number of potential rite givers (each tribe has one). Not to mention all the missions that already pop open a topic in the encyclopedia that cannot be completed. The fact that the majority voted for rites shows that they are eager for content that provides depth to the game world (the encylopedia) as well as unique skills and abilities.
