Atys Chronicles need to be Enhanced?

Specifically I'd like them to be marked as read and to be searchable.

It's very difficult for a new player to tackle the lore using the existing Chronicles pages and I believe some enhancements would make it a much more valuable tool.

What do you think?

Search feature would definitely be useful. Or at least some sort of index, so that one doesn't have to find what one is looking for by paging through News/Features/Opinions a few articles at a time.

One possible form of "enhancement" might be to merge the chronicles site into the homepage, maybe into the lore section; I find it quite tedious to have three or more sites to watch for updates (HP, chronicles, forum, and R² with no significant updates, but who knows ).

What exactly is Atys Chronicles? Stumbled into it myself few days before and at first glimpse i noticed it was filled with in-character stories and such. Is it updated frequently and/or related to in-game events? Is the Lore there from before or is it more 'current'? (( As in Atys News Service sorts of thing? ))

Also are the stories there provided by the developers/story team to move the story forward or are they perhaps actions and happenings players/guilds did in-game

There are weekly feature stories/interviews there from official sources, there are "Opinion stories" from the players, and event related "News" section for info on events.

Its a nice site, and a shame its not known/used more.

If you use Google you can "prefix" the search with site:chronicles.ryzom.com, that will make Google search on that site only.
A search for goo would look like this;
site:chronicles.ryzom.com goo

Not as good as an official search function on the site, as Google might not be up to date, but it works well most of the time.

I will agree that something needs to be done... Lore is rewritten there at times as RP and some don't know the difference. I thought that site was going to be something I really wanted to read thru, but the format and randomness has turned me off.

We need to know what is fiction and the line is blurred there...

The presentation is somewhat lacking, i bookmarked it during e2 for the hall of fame and have read most of what is there, but is a nightmare to refind material with snippets of lore that i thought i read i while back.

I think it needs more linkage to the main Ryzom site imo, theres that link on the grey bar at the top, but easy missed.

Perhaps when theres a new news piece, or article on chron, there can be a section on the website highlighting it, with direct links?

Hi all,

First, let me say that there are definitely plans to link the chronicles section into the main Saga of Ryzom site, which should make things easier.

For a brief explanation of the site: it falls into 3 sections,

The top "News" section is where the details of events to come, together with follow-ups on past ones, are posted by the events staff. If you are interested in attending events, it is worth looking here regularly.

The middle "Features" section is also official, and includes both stories and tales incorporating lore, and factual lore accounts. A new article is posted here each week by the events team.

The lower "Opinions" section showcases role-play stories and opinions by players. Just click on "Give your opinion" if you would like to add anything here.
