Lost Connection

Yesterday I downloaded the Ryzom trial and have nothing but headaches ever since tyring to get connected to the game. If I'm lucky I get to see the character creation screen for 5 seconds before the Connection is Lost.

I've opened up all the ports listed on these forums. Opened up access to the various Ryzom files in my firewall. Updated my router firmware. Tried to do the mumbo jumbo with the router.

While I'm not a computer noob my knowledge of networks is fairly limited. I dont think I should have to bend over backwards to try out a game. Im an avid MMO'er and dont have troube with any other game out there.

I was really interested to check out the game and the new mmo editor you have put in but at this point I've reached my limits.

It seems llike connectivity is an ongoing issue with this game for many users and people have worked hard to find workarounds but this is something the game developers should be handling in a patch and not leaving it up to the end user.

Six days and no response. I'm just going to delete the trial off my computer to fix the problem.

We talked about this in Klients. I didn't respond until now because you obviously were not looking for help with your problem.
Each game is unique and LinkSys are infamous for having issues with various apps and games. The vast majority of LinkSys users get their copies of Ryzom up and running with a few tweaks as suggested by the various tech support sources available.
