New here...race dilemma

Hi all,

After some research on various MMO and gaming fan sites I came upon SoR. I have just downloaded the game and am reading up as much as I can - the game looks very interesting and appears that it will fit my MMO gaming style nicely. I am a former W*W player (ugh, I know), and I actively play EVE (still love it), and the players here seems mature and quite helpful.

I have a dilemma...I need some advice on choosing a race and faction. I have always tried to choose the lowest populated race/profession type (I think many players overlook their value and they end up becoming sought after). I also like to be on the underdog team. I love the uphill challenges. I have read that it doesn't really matter which one you choose because you can do anything with any race, but I would like to know the unofficial census of the races in the game.

Right now I am leaning towards Zorai (are there more Zorai than Fyros?) and being in the Kami faction (from other posts, it sounds like Kami are the underdog).

So, if anyone can steer me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Zoraï has usually been the least populous race. Not sure if that's quite as true anymore, but it probably is. Kami seems to be the less-populous faction. But if you count neutral as a faction, then it's neutral, according to the List of Guilds. Neutral also tends to be more RP-oriented when it comes to guild options.

Based on your gaming preferences... I would suggest (OOC of course) that you become Zorai... Strangely, as elegant as the Zorai are, they have often been the least played.

The hardest way to play SoR is true neutral...
