trouble getting SoR to start

Post by bioengin »

I got it installed, and when I ever try and load the game it gives me a little pop-up window that says, "Can't create a window display (1024x768 32 bits).
I have no clue what to do about that, and why it's doing that...can someone help me with this?

Do you have an integrated graphics chipset such as Intel or SiS?

Are the drivers for your graphics/video card up to date?

Would be helpful to know a bit more about your hardware. :)

Click Start, Run, then type in dxdiag and click OK. What does the Display tab say?

Alright I'm back...from what I've seen from the other threads I'm looking at, it seems that I would need a DirectX 9.0 Video Card? I brought up that dxdiag thing, looked, saw that I had a DirectX 9.0 card =).

Look at the 'Display' tab to see what video card and drivers you have installed

Alright I looked on that link you put in your first post here...I put some of those settings up, and now its telling me," The driver has failed to allocate AGP Memory. This may result in performance and display issues. Do you want to know more?" I clicked yes, and it didn't do anything...What am I supposed to do now?
