New player with Guild questions

Hi all,

Me and a few friends have decided to try SoR out for a while. It has a lovely looking skill and crafting system. We were all in a guild together in previous games so I've a few questions about guilds (thanks to sprite and the sticky at the top that helped as well). Sorry if this is somewhere obvious that i've missed but can anyone tell me what the requirements to set up a guild are and where it can be done?

Find the guild clerk in the starter town on the mainland, fork over 1m Daps... choose a unique name, make a symbol and you are a guild.
