What's the "Please Wait" icon telling me?

I played some last night and was able to check the network connection. I didn't have any packet loss and the window with ping varied quite a bit but never going over 200.

I didn't see the please wait icon last night, so maybe it was just a temporary hiccup.

Huh? Don't think I have seen SoR use more than 700-800 MB, at highest setting.
