Zorai Masks

Just a random question, that I don't think I saw the answer to while reading all the Ryzom lore: Are Zorai born with masks, or do they graft them on later in life, like as a Rite of Passage for Kami?

IIRC They get them later in life... after passing thru a ritual... I don't remember all the details tho... I am sure a more heavy RPer will show up to answer better
