Texture Problems

Post by fenecoon »

I'm kinda bad with hardware, so please bear with me.

Ryzom won't let me play unless I set the graphics to OpenGL.
When I click on "OpenGL Information" it says that my Renderer is Intel 945G.
The version is 1.4.0 - Build 4.14.10.4396.

When I play the game I get a lot of cases where the game can't render textures properly.
Sometimes they're black and fuzzy, sometimes there's just a white blob.

Does anyone know of a program or setting that would let my graphics driver display these textures correctly?
I found similar issues in other threads, but none of them worked for me.

I've played Ryzom on a friend's computer with Direct3D graphics options, and the textures seemed fine.
I'm just wondering if there's a way to fix my own graphics.

So this means that there is no way to lower any of my other graphics options to make the textures display properly?

Cause I'm willing to deal with really bad graphics in exchange for all the textures.

Did you try the lowest graphic package (32MB I think) in the setup? If the graphic card is using shared memory you could try and change that (encreasing it most likely).

As for not being able to play with directx, is it installed? It should show up in the control panel for MS Windows, if not you can type in dxdiag in a commando prompt, that will launch the directx diagnostics if directx is install. Dxdiag will show you the current state of directx, and if everything is okay.
Latest version is 9.0c.
