As much as I wish there was something for us to rally behind, those who do feel a calling aren't getting much back from it. Whats being touted as faction is often just the players/guilds who most suit your playstyle. When Infinity left there was no honorable Kamist guild to take the mantle (and it hurt the gameplay). Many that had called themselves Kamists left to not be associated with the most active kamists.
awww... Lub ewe too, DT
PvP tag, entering a pvp PR region (the mats found within are found elsewhere in the game, therefore this contents of these regions are not limited to them. If you don't consent to the pvp, you go to a non-pvp region), or entering a pvp area (such as the arena) is consenting to PvP. They give a warning in all cases (when entering the region/area or when your tag is clicked on or if you just hover the mouse of it). The old lands is a grey area for me. I agree that those who took part were sort of forced into pvp, but when we finally found out what it was we were supposed to do, the non-pvpers (the diggers/crafters) were the most important part of it (so it semi-made up for it). Anyway, old lands is done with, so no point in arguing it anymore.
as for rundll, its not biggie. The things hes done IG have been done by many others. I, for example, killed diggers in the old lands, I've killed them in the PR, I've even patrolled the PR regions looking for diggers when at war with other guilds (in those Honda Accord days). Its all part of the game and not something to attack or put them on trial. If they are in a pvp zone or pvp tagged, then its fair game.
As for the sig, I don't recall exactly the thread where it came from, but it was probably one of the many that we have had similar to this one, where the issue at hand is what equals consent. The pro-pvpers point to the warnings issued before entering pvp areas or tagging on. The anti-pvpers all point to aspects of the game that are centered around it (OPs and the old lands event. PR doesn't count as that content is found elsewhere in non-pvp regions and is therefore not centered around pvp). The battle rages on both sides and has done for a long, long time. All the arguments made here have been made before and is the main reason why the first two pages of this thread were filled with threads like "here we go again"
