Hello and 2 questions

Hi. I'm new to Ryzom and will most likely subscribe once my trial quests are done. I have been playing SWG for two years (like many, until NGE did hit) and since I left, I haven't found a game to rival with what it once was until today. It seems that in Ryzom I can both craft without using a dull system or fight, depending on my humor.

Now, 2 quick questions (I haven't read the manual yet but will do in a moment).

- Can you loot weapons/armors from NPC's and if yes, how do they compare to player crafted items. Is there a market for crafters ?

- Can a guild be composed of different races or it is one race per guild ? (I already know you can only have members of the same religion alignment).

q1: No, you loot raw materials to be used for crafting. All the good items ingame are produced by crafters. Its not like a suckling yubo that was somehow carrying a super sword of doom.

q2: Yes, there can be multiple races per guild provided the aliignment is correct as you say.

The atm only Bandit Boss avaliable, that drops a full set of Armor that has quite good stats, but is not very "uncommon" anymore... *LOL*
Personaly to me it seems you´re something special if you DON`T own one nowadays. At least here on Lenaon. How about Arospotle?

You will find there are many SWG refugees' here, many!

As to your questions...

No, you will not find armor loot drops and things of that nature. Rarely you may find some jewelry on a humanoid mob that you can use or sell but most things are crafted by players on Atys. It's good for the economy that way.


Yes guilds can have the different races in them. Just keep in mind that there are different factions and faction points per race and even guilds depending on their alignment.
