Returning Player With A Question

Have returned to this game after being away for about 15 months. I’m still refreshing my memory on the game procedures, what is located where, and how things work. It feels good to be back.

I used to be able to buy teleporter tickets from both Karavan and Kami. I still have my reserve supply of these, and they still work. However, I can’t buy new tickets.

The teleports still have me stumped. I’m Matis, and have done a few Missions for the Karavan welcomer next to the teleport outside Fairhaven in Liberty Lake, but see no obvious change. I figure that the faction changes must have effected the teleports, but I’m just guessing.

Could I get some help on how to activate them? What is the new criteria to be able to buy teleport tickets? and how do I meet this criteria?

While I’m asking questions, is there anything else that I need to know that is important to a returning player just getting reaclimated?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Yup this has been changed. You have undetermined faction. While undetermined you cannot buy new faction tickets from anywhere. If you go neutral, you get access to one teleport from every lvl 50, 100, 150, 200 zone which isnt in the PR. If you go karavan or kami you get access to all teleports from that faction that arn't in the PR. If you go karavan or kami and have 60+ fame in that faction, you get access to all teleports for that faction and all PR tps for that faction.

check your fame to select a faction - or neutrality.
Neutrals get to use a somewhat random selection of teleport altars, but not tps in purple zones, Prime roots, or secondary towns ( Dyron and Thesos are available, however... spoilt rotten Fyros )
It is possible to buy tickets in Nexus now, in fact all teleport altars now work,just some dont work for specific faction alignments.

As I can move about now without fear of running out of ticketes, its time to explore and refresh my memory.

Wow, look who is back.

I actually am on an extended leave, but lurk the boards occasionally. I am afraid some of the reasons why you stepped away still exist.

I do remember many a day in Upper Bog digging our arms off. It was good times. Glad to see you made it back.

Hi Noin Good to hear a friendly voice.

I've not seen old friends in game yet, but have been back only 1 day. Though I figure that there has been significant turn over during the many months that I was away.

I tried to check the new OmegaV web site but it is mostly password protected.

I see that the game still has some of the issues that concern me, but it also has changed in a positive way as well. Future plans for the game include good things too, so I stay optimistic.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying being back. There is alot to do for a returning player.

Was indeed good times playing the game with you. Enjoy your leave, and our paths will probably cross again down the road.

some other things that have changed since you have been away (patch notes good place for more details)

outposts, major fame revamp, all tp's activated and new ones added (but tied to factions), factions, FvF, temples, old lands, major revamp to resists ala jewels (although cant remember if that was in before), restrictions on la and jewels, increased protections on armor, 2h rejig (dodge and parry mods activated, speeds altered), heal 'nerf' - although its better now.
