Are my old chars still around??

Hello everyone. I created a new account and have been trying out the new starter area but was wondering if I decide to Pay to Play should I reactivate my old account that I stopped playing in Nov 04, and if my chars that I had will still be there, or should I just go ahead and subscribe with the new account. Also if I do subscribe with the new account am I going to get charged for the cost of the game or is it just the game time that you get charged for?

If you old characters had high levels on them, you might want to ask the CSR's or something about being able to get them back. And you have to pay, at least, a monthly fee of 15 US dollars (I think it's 15-I dont pay for my account), regardless of game time you play.

I met two players during the last weeks, that were returning after a long absense. One left shortly before patch 1 and the other shortly after patch 1, they both logged in their old account, and played their old characters.
You may have a problem if your characters were only level 20 or lower, as during the Windermeer/Arispotle merge these were deleted.
So I guess the chances are good, that you characters are still around.
