Mixing kipees with mosquitos

I've just got me a set of headphones and the sounds of Atys is really awesome. But if I turn the volume up loud enough to hear the mosquitos buzz I'll jump 3 feet when I hear a kipee roar behind my back. Can I in some way make the different sounds more the same level?

Nope, just as in Real Life

Just put the sound on about middle output, that won´t hurt your ears too much and you´ll still be able to hear the buzz.

Dont think there is Ully, if its there I hav'nt found it, and for sure those Kippees do make a racket.

Hehe cant beleive you been playin all this time without sound, somone mentioned in another thread about it being a life saver and its true, I run with the EAX enabled through a 5:1 card emulated to a 7:1 speaker system and its awesome.

hehe I have had sounds and a 5:1 system but the noisy fans of my system drowned the small sounds completely

Is there any way to modify the game files to remove certain sounds?

@Nevrax: If you'd rather a player not ask about modifying game files, please consider making it possible to eliminate certain sounds "legally."

Until then, I'll continue muting SFX and missing experiencing the rest of the sounds...

well i play without sound aswell,cause i like it to hear music and both together is not so good

Kat, if I´m not msitaken you´re able to set an amount of sounds played at one time. There should be a slide for that under "Sound" Options. But its not possible to eleminate speciffic sounds, like Kipees... XD

I play with SXF set to about middle volume and Music doodling in the background rather silenly, works wonderfully for me

kill the kipees that'll shut them up... and messabs, have to kill the kinchers and kirostas so problem solved there. Arana too they're a bit noisy so cull them. tho tbh i just turn off game sounds nr noisy mobs, and back on again when i leave.

They tend to sneak up on you and MOOOOOOO you when you least expect it.

I've been playing Morrowind soundtrack and it sure sets me in a good mood
