Is there a "Saga of Ryzom" guild for SWG refugees?

I also played SWG for some time. I also left SWG. I've also played many other mmo. I've left this game and came back more than a few times.

Travel enough and you'll maybe realize that each game has good and bad points.
SWG wasnt really "all that and a bag of donuts" for me and many many many others... but you have every right to feel as you do.

But, you might want to consider this. Region wide discussions between a small handful of players about a game other than the one being played can also be viewed as disrespectful to the others that have to share that region and are trying to play the game that they do enjoy.

Just want to chime in and second the pugmaks post, especially in the begginers island this was very annoying. sometimes you could play for 2 hours straight without discussions ever stopping, does kill the atmosphere guys, you should realize that. While i have nothing personal against swg or wow or any other game refugees, hell i am one. We could try and keep the chatting to the gameworld concernes, and maybe use other means of comunication that are less disruptive to other players gaming expereince to talk about good old times, in wow or swg or uo or whatever floats our lil boats Just my 2 cents and dont take it personally.

On the new, 4-races n00b island the Region chat to an extraordinary degree is tied up by discussions of the late great SWG. It is very disconcerting.

It is much better if this went on in Guild chat in an SWG Ryzom guild.

In the absence of an SWG guild in "Ryzom" perhaps people who want to discuss SWG or some other non-Ryzom subject could form a team and conduct their discussion in Team chat.

On the other hand the dumbing-down and watering-down of SWG by SOE means a lot of new players for Ryzom, and a brighter future for Ryzom.

Personally, I'm happy to see so many of the "refugees" from other games, SWG among them, have decided to try SoR and I do hope most choose to stay.
The more the merrier

Also, on the issue of comparing this game to another game or any game to a lost favorite game, been there, done that too.

I've been as guilty as anyone else in the years past.

My only intention in replies to this thread is to remind us all that we do share the same channels and the discussions of a few can impact the entire region.

It's not just "other game" chatter but any personal conversations in region chat. I've done it too.

It is something we might all want to remind ourselves about from time to time.

Man, I miss SWG pre-9.. but ya.. I hear there is some people workin on rebuilding the old SWG system.. heard they are almost done with it infact. Well anyway... SoR is a great game just sometimes wish there were more people that played!

Hi,

I am a vetran SWG myself. Im just so disapointed the way SOE handled that game. I really miss the Pre-CU days and all my friends.
The game is just a shell of what it once was. The NGE is just horrible. Its a kick in the face to players like me who had unlocked Jedi on 2 accounts, 1 fully grinded out too.
I do however check on the SWG forums and everytime i do, theres another bug :/

Obi-Wan "SWG was the best MMO of them all, before the Dark times, before the times of the NGE...."

As for that company rebuilding the old SWG system, it will never happen due to copyright off all things Starwars based. As much as i want it to happen, realisticly it never will.

Back onto Ryzom, after playing this game for 2 weeks, i have cancelled all 3 of my SWG after 3 years as well as my WoW account.
This game is simply amazing. The customer service just rocks also

I have found myself a new home here in Ryzom, along with an awesome guild of Ryzom vets - Fluffy Bunnies FTW!
