1400mb patch from the start ?

i just got this game. and installet it, and now i have to patch 1400mb? is that normal. Because i will just give up the game right now then. don`t wonna DL that much

erm thats rather a lot lol. I just reinstalled from the 0202006 file and the patch said it 106mb or 116mb something like that, was a little white lie as it turned out to be ~300mb.

if you managed to find a boxed version from 2004 then i could see the patch being massive, but still seems a lot.

grab Klients (tiny irc chat app download) and ask the support staff who will be there

well the box is from 2004 guess thats why i only paided 25kr. something like 4$.
Might aswell just ready to manuel 2-3 times to pass the time. See you ingame

it will be that size if you install from the game cd's yes.
Installed it only last weekend for a friend of mine on his pc, gave him the game a long time ago. And finally he decided to give it a try

Cool, I found the boxed version dead cheap when I started out as well. Just make sure you read the updated manual instead of the printed one: http://www.ryzom.com/documentation/Manu ... ence_book/

I have the SOR Box from 2004 and the Patch was 1400mb for me, but it didnt take long to download it which was nice.

i reinstalld just b4 RoS was released using the '04 box and it was only a 300mb ish patch, ros that big a patch?
