Any guilds/groups going to other lands...

Post by tinpony »

... who possibly have room for a pair on independents to tag along?

A couple of Zorai wanderers are looking to expand their range of travel. We've managed to find the giant skull up at Boulder Tunnel and watched the sun set over the goo fields of Void. We played 'dodge the kincher' in the Outback and traversed the strange caves of Withered Stock. We've spoken to the red armoured karavan welcomer in Umbra (despite our low Karavan faction) and fought alongside the Shadow Runners in Maiden Grove. We've even played tag with gingos in Haven... although the less said about that sorry fiasco, the better (two level 60s characters... one level 114 gingo. We won, but lordy what a long fight).

Anyway, we'd like to see more of this great land and wonder if any teams are planning a trip through the Primes to other areas. I (Linneth in game) am nearly level 70 melee and BG (Xalgarr in game) is a comparable mage. We're not looking for free passage. We'll fight our share of bad guys (if we can at our level) and help out however we can with the team, just let us know.

Thank you!
Tin.

Ah yes the need to explore. Everyday i want to leave and go out, but something tells me, "No wait, a few more levels, just a few more!".

I now reached lvl 71 mellee and begin to realize how hard some mobs are and how effective bigger groups are. In about 2 weeks time max i see myself finally going out and greatly exploring every land. when i can find a full group of 100's in level, i am sure we can cross anywhere.

I want to go kill a few of those named big boy mobs and see what they drop in every land.

I guess in all fairness to the game, we all must spend the beginning leveling up to be able to get out. And although most people now are busy just grinding up, i do remember most games are like this, but let me say this, once we are all higher up we will expand this game to alot more than it is now. We will have all the races united and doing good events everywhere. Patience is the key.

But as long as there is people willing to adventure out, win or lose i am in. As for now i am in my grinding mode increasing my players stats, but am eagerly awaiting the next level of the game to begin.

Pandorae's guild are good traveler's if your Zorai, Crysta's for Fyros... Cannot remember the Tryker group leader we've seen while out and about but there are guilds from each race that are fairly free to go where they want. Whatever race you are you should be easily able to contact them and tag along.

I am typically against such things but have had good experiences lately with outsiders and I am warming to the idea more. Just be sure you know your role in a team, it's not a problem being weak... but if your foolish you'll probably get tossed from a group pretty quick

If you are a Zorai, you should check out the guild Comitatus Praetorian. The guildleader is Pandorae. We can go pretty much anywhere when we assemble in force, especially when we get together with our Tryker allies, Tryker Black Company.

We're had more than a few adventures. A team of two killing things 50 and 60+ levels higher than they requires some communication.

To be honest, the only really 'bad' deaths we've had were teamed with guilds who wanted high volume quick kills and didn't stop to plan. <grin> It's made me leery of grouping as well. However, we're a cautious fight team looking to explore and looking to get to know our fellow Zorai. I think of it as a good opportunity.

Hey there,

It's a blast exploring. Probably my favourite part of the game. I prefer to dedicate my actual gaming time to craft. Now that I'm making q70 armour and weapons, I'm wandering farther and farther afield to find mats. I'm one of those people that wants to do it all (except magic), so my power gaming is really in the basement. ;) I hunt what I need to hunt for mats, I forage what I need to forage for mats. I never feel like I'm grinding. In reality, it's more like "Holy crow, when did I get to level 75 forage?". BG and I meet up, try to figure out what we want to do. Some days, we see a critter, shrug and try to kill it. More times than not, we win and I consider that a good thing.

We also tend to hunt at a very leisurely pace. Chat a bit, kill stuff and then look for mats. We made our way across Dementia by taking the long route around stuff and prospecting right up until the edge of the goo fields. That's what I find fun, but we bore the armoured pants off of some poor souls who have joined us.

So, Nuuk... keep us in mind if you want to make a dash into new lands. Couple of weeks should have us feeling more confident in our ability to duo through some big stuff. I always look for an opportunity to meet my fellow Zorai. :)

Nuuk and I are both part of the Pilgrims of Atys. Most of us love exploring, I myself can usually be found poking my head in caves and high level areas where I shouldn't be all the time.

Don't know if you're looking for a guild or just teammates to go around with but you should definately talk to either Pilgrims of Atys or Comitatus Pratorae.

AS you saw, BG and I decided to give the Primes a shot last night. I was lucky enough to make it through the Kinchers on my second try,and made it all the way to Spooky End without dying. While nerve-wracking, it wasn't hugely difficult aside from the kinchers. It was far harder getting past the kinchers in the outback of Dementia.

Unfotunately after I got through, the kinchers seemed kind of bugged and got stuck in the wall and wouldn't move. BG and I eventally made it to a completely safe spot for a little bit and hung out. I led him to Spooky End. That time we went a liiiiiittle too close to the boss mob. Whoops. :D

Anyway, I emerged from my misadventures with a 70K death penalty (woo) and a little wiser.

Does your guild plan trips, or just make a run for it on occasion?

Thanks for the reply,
Tin.
