A great race?

hmm easy run, I would probably take part,

rules need a bit firming up tho (for others of course)

if you die I assume you can spawn at the last portal you passed?

make it to checkpoints (like someone already suggested) to stop them dasterdly karas porting

dragging aggro on other racers, i.e is it allowed eliminating the competition always good

any type of armour? a 250 melee will already have a huge advantage, I can pretty much run anywhere in HA and not die.

sure the run from pyr to yrk is fairly easy. i chose this for a few reasons;

Firstly this is my first time in setting this up. i know severel safe routes. I think i would be able to keep control with minimum helpers.

second ,wouldnt want the race to go on for *too* long.. its all well and good saying run through wastelands naked but how many of you would give up after an hour assuming that others have finished the race.

thirdly, treks are alot harder when there are alot of people running the same route.. more chace to get caught in some agro.

fourthly, the route doesnt have any lvl 250 zones. this way players with skills 180ish could still enter and still have a plasuable chnace of winning..

lastly, PR is GvG, and i wouldnt want people ganking while running through


Rules: (not final but just some ideas)

Entry payment must be paid before the race. no exceptions. Those of u that know me know i wouldnt run away with it all.

you must be at the starting point (pyr kami) 15 minutes before the race. as is with all events, they rarely run on time. hopefully we can get this one as propmt as possible.

LA only. i know from experience that its possible to run anywhere with your supreme Q250 HA on. I am thnking about crafting set of Q100 for racers. (just a thought let me know) for added excitment.

no porting. the only ports you would be going near are : pyr kara, thesos Kami. HS kara (i think thats all) to help try and keep vigilince. there will be a 'marshal' on a mount staying just ahead (100-200m or so) of the leader. with other 'marshals' at chekpoints.. 2 of them being at th TP's (any other suggestions on how to keep this one fair would be appeciated)

with regards to agro dragging.. Yes you can. the idea is to use your enviroment to your advantage... (the only zones that would cause serious damage are right in the middle, but if you have a speed boosts handy then your ok) although most people will avoid the agro. so i gues you will have to take a detor. maybe slowing you down..

You must keep an active /tell up with the marshal on the mount (prob going to be me) this is for security purposes.. if you suddenly see sum1 porting or changing to HA you can then quickly get hold of the marhal on the mount and he/she can quickly come check it out.. or pass on the messages to the other marshals..

If you die. you must report it to a marshal and then port to the closest spawn OR Teleport that you have PASSED. (I.E the one behind you) any1 cought not following this rule will not be allowed to finish the race and will NOT receive their entry fee back.


I would love help from any1 who is willing to support. althought it is plausable to do it with just one other helping (porting all the time to stay ahead) however, the more help i get the, more checkpoints i can set up and thus the fairer it will be..

heh my ping usually idles around 350-400 ... but the other day I had it upto 24000 ... buts its not my ping im worried about its my comp

I be willing to help you with the event T. Let me know what you need me to do? I don't think I will be able to run because my comp has been acting funny lately and porting will take me about 5-10 min. This will only hurt me. I could probably guard a TP or give out water to the racers?
