Newbie Crafting Question

I am on the New Island and have a problem, I have a quest to produce 3 X Q15 Power Amps, All my mats are Quality 25+, When I click on the boxes to bring in my Mats the Quality level of the finished product remains at Q10 even though I am using Q 25+ mats, I have various items to use for each sub component, my Pack is completely full of mats I keep selling all the low quality stuff but I still dont seem to have cracked this, could someone give me a pointer as to what mat would be best, and what stats is this Particular crafted item looking for, I was a member of Swgcraft.com for 18 months in the days when crafting was an actual science, is there an equivalent site for this game.
I have looked at forums and asked in game, the part that annoyed me was in game I recieved only WoW player type reponses, I hope to god these kretins dont infest your game because that would be a shame.

Check to be sure you have "craft weapons 2" action (produces up to ql20 weapons) and thats the one you are using.

Sounds like you are using Craft Weapons 1.

Yeah you need to go to the craft trainer and buy the 2nd craft plan, which will allow you to craft q20 items. Then use that skill, pop the q20+ mats in the boxes and craft away
Also make sure youre not wearing heavy or medium armour when you craft otherwise it will degrade the item.

The level (or quality) of weapon you can craft goes up every 10 levels. So at level 10 you can craft q20 weapons and so on. However, you have to upgrade your crafting skill as the guys have said.

When you start you have Weapon crafting 1. At level 10 you get Weapon Crafting 2. You can only craft weapons up to the quality allowed by your craft skill, even if you use higher quality mats.

Also note, if you use lower quality mats than your skill (e.g q15 mats when crafting at level 2), the max quality you will get is that of the lowest q mat (so max q would be 15 in my example).

I am glad its that simple, was hoping it had nothing to do with advanced crating tools, Thanks for the reply, am lvl 28 crafting, will grind a few boots for the lvl up to get the schematic

That's odd, I couldn't buy the magic gloves thingy until I had bought the level2 weapon crafting skill.

If the OP can make the gloves, then he's already got teh skill, just needs to change his shortcut to the level2 skill.

Side note, why would anyone want to continue using the level1 skill when they get the level2 skill? IMO the level1 skill should be changed into the level2 skill

becaouse sometimes you might be asked to make a lower q set of armour/ weapons, etc for someone else of a lower lvl

That's even odder as I, as a level 20ish character can wear level 50 armor ;p
