Looking for rp guild

Hello everyone. I'm new to game but getting the hang of it pretty quickly.
My character's name is Jessla, and I"m looking for a heavy roleplaying guild.
I live in the US and play usually evenings and weekends central time as time provides.

My focus on my character is to be an armor crafter and harvester, but I will also be learning to be a support caster class so I can heal those I group with and learn to be able to defend myself for harvesting purposes.

You may want to take a closer look the the sticky on this board; almost all guilds are listed there along with their Faction/Civilization and RP stance.

The Samsara:
a band of mercenaries to be found in the desert, but their contracts get them well all over Atys. They have no loyalties other than to their leader and ofcourse to dappers. They regularly host RP events as well.

The Order of the Dragonblades:
a Matis based Order who hold on to an almost chivalric ode of loyalty, bravery and swordswinging. Their loyalties lie with Hominkind only and regularly host player-event strikes against the Kitin, Hominkind's worst enemy.

The Red Ribbon Army:
a Federal band of rogues, thieves and smugglers of pre-dominantly Trykers yet open to all who can prove they mean the best for the Tryker Federal State.



Off the top of my head these are the few that are more focused on RP than other guilds, yet that does not mean that those guilds not listed as High RP don' t roleplay or have members that RP heavily. Best is to get acquainted with the people, get a feel of things and then have a go at it.

One question you may want to ask yourself however is: what loyalties does your character have?

A few additional notes about the Order of the Dragonblades:
- We also accept foragers, crafters, and casters.
- Though our guild hall is in Yrkanis, I think we have more Fyros than Matis now.
- We RP heavily in all chat channels. OOC is expected to be denoted with [brackets], (parentheses), etc.
- We're neutral in race and faction, but we do have/accept Kamist, Karavaneer, etc. members as long as they can coexist peacefully with homins of other beliefs.
- We have members in both European and US timezones.

Heya Jessla! Welcome to Atys.

The Samsara is classified as a "Semi" RP guild, as we both RP and OOC chat in our Guild channel. We are a friendly bunch, but be aware, we do have a boot camp, a series of tasks you must complete to become a full member!

The tasks are intended to be challenging but not hugely so and encourage you to learn more about the game and your fellow guildmates .

We don't recruit, anyone interested in joining Atys' premier mercenary group is welcome to apply though!

2 points to keep in mind:

A majority of the guilds are primarily european in membership. We do have several US members, and many of us play at odd hours, so it shouldnt be too lonely, but obviously a majority of our members will be about UK primetime (weeknights 6pm-10pm GMT or GMT +1 in summer, weekends is anyones guess ).

Secondly it is well worth getting to know people and getting some idea of the groups you are affiliating with. The different guilds can have different political affiliations, which limit your choice of your own selection, and so your access to teleport tickets. Erm, this may seem confusing at first, but dont worry, no one I know holds it against someone for changing their mind about a choice after getting to know the game.

Thank you for your replies everyone and yes I have gone through the sticky of guilds, but time being what it is I usually tend to spend more time playing than reading forums so I went through it briefly. after doing a little reading (and yeah, dragonblades web site is down lol ) for now the dragonblades seems more my kind of stint ((i'ma heavy heavy rper myself)) and if you don't mind I'll probably try to contact you in game katriell

How you want to play is the ONLY thing more important than the guild you join... Learn the game and then choose who meets your standards. As good as the game is, your choices will more influence your gameplay.
