Crashes During Character Load

I've just downloaded the seven day trial and spent about three hours patching it up, it took a surprising amount of time probably because I was checking for spyware at the same time, and it doesn't seem to want to work. Whenever I've tried to load my character it has got through four of those pictures at the bottom then crashed.

Any advice?

You can email your log.log file (found in the Ryzom folder) to support-ee@ryzom.com and we will have a look.

Try running the configuration utility and disable sound and lower the graphics to low to begin with. You can always start increasing that stuff when you get the game running. The game is very picky about things like non-standard and improperly instlalled video drivers. So make sure that when you do update drivers you remove the current ones, reboot, ignore the found hardware messages and then run the video driver installer.
