Greetings!

Post by finisher »

Greetings everyone, man has this been frustrating. My older-brother and I became interested in this game on monday, and after he created his Homin right at the last load part his comp freezes and when he loads it all back up finds out about the 4 day patch!

Haha I wasn't even that lucky though, I had so many questions about the game and loved how helpful the community seems. Such a breath of fresh air coming from a game like WoW. So I gained everything I thus know about this game (which probably isn't much) from other peoples questions being answered and from some videos I've downloaded, because the Registration page was down. I don't know if they posted it in the forums but when I clicked free-trial it said "No time limit, No exp limit." so I'm thinking it's free till you leave the island? But no matter I can't wait to join you guys and gals in the new island. I really am excited because some old members will be starting new guys to check it out so I will have a plethora of assistance should a question or issue arrive.
Well anyway, enough chatter -- Hope it is done soon (only 4-5yellows left to complete) so I can rock it out with you all!

This world definitly seems like a cool place to be with the community inhabiting it.

Welcome to Atys, Finisher! I hope that you enjoy it as much as we do! :)

I think that you are right about the unlimited free trial as long as you stay at the starter isle, I heard the same. But I can't point to an official announcement of that.

I do have a couple questions I didn't see asked or answered:
What is the group limit? I think on some exp calculator is said 9?

When a monster dies how do you loot it? Is it auto looted and distributed through the group or dropped in a pool, or just first one to click the body?

How many items can you carry with you at a time? Like lets say I'm really good with 2hd axes but working on my daggers. Do I have enough invo room to bring along my axe incase we run across a boss or such?

Thank you for all your answers and assistance -- these questions are trivial but since I have not yet played the game they are all that ties me to it... other then the gorgeous visuals on the planet from the videos.

Yup, 9 is the upper limit.

Maximum of Itmes depends on their respective weight. Some people still complain that a homin shloud be able to carry a least 10 tons it seems, but I´m contend with the about 2t it is atm :D ;) (unrealistic, but it was even less a while ago, and peeps whined, so they doubled the amount. Still not enough for some, *sigh*)

Looting - If you´re the first one to loot it mostly is expected to either devide the loot in your team, or leave some things on the body for others to loot. Ninja looting os frowned apon here too, so don´t even think about it :D ;)

Haha I'm joining up with this community to get away from that whole 'ninja-looting' deal. If everyone works hard in defeating the monster I believe everyone should get a fair share of the loot. I really just can't wait to party~

you'll find a lot of high level players dont tend to loot on general hunts, carrying that Aen set doesnt help ;) . when i was younger we always shared everything, either taking it in turns to loot (slow) or one person grabs everything then shares out when full/someone else takes over. asking is all thats needed when u join team, ppl who just grab without asking will be shunned pretty quickly :)
