I can't say that I knew Dardis well; I simply passed him in different places on Atys. From what I heard of him though, he was a great man. He seemed to be a very kind person.

The loss of a loved one can cut deeply. The pain will hurt your heart your soul until you think you'll burst. At that point though, you'll remember all of the fun you've had, all of the love you've shared, and all of the joy you've spread to others-and you wont hurt so deeply, you will love and you'll miss and you will be happy he's moved on to a beautiful place.

~May happiness shine on you soon~

My heart draws heavy with sadness!! In the beggining I grew frustrated with Dardis until we spent countless hours in PM's and phone calls. I quickly learned of his conditions and realized how things could be if the table were turned. So what that I maxed out my DP, it truly was fun and I actually laughed about it. Even faced with his condition, he was always helpful and patient when teaching me how to set up macros or explaining the right way to set up my foraging stanzas. I laughed with him many times and his voice will stay a part of me as he spoke with intellegence and clairity. He played the game with vigor and cared not of Death Points. So what that he only had the use of one arm and eye, he would be the first to respawn and rez you. The fact that dial up was the only way to play because no other access was availble in his area didnt stop him from trying; a better man than I as I would have given up. My heart goes out to his family, I never truly knew them but heard their voices in the backround while talking on the phone to him.

May the wings of angels nestle you and peace bestow you my friend.

it is indeed a sad day,

My god i remember coming back from one of my 'away from game phases' and dardis was the new jeweler for the Bunnies.a pang of jealousy did exist as u were always higher than me . we had good bit of chat many a time and sadly as Sash said he was often misunderstood, i misundrstood u at times. . which i am sorry for

rek/brandon it is very sorry to hear this news.im sure jokes were made about rezzes and wat not in Flaming Forest but i doubt a harsh word could ever be said about Dardis.

especially now we see wat this man was dealing with in RL.

Dardis i salute you. you are wat makes ryzom wat it is, adult people wanting a break from reality at times, i hope you enjoyed your time here. may we meet in places fairer and greener

truly moved by this thread

I think I only met Dardis the once, when he was in my team on one of the round-the-world trips about a year ago. His connection gave him a lot of trouble, something I have been familiar with too, and we lost him for a while at the bridges over the chasm in Fyros. His frustration was evident, and his connection only getting worse, spending more time offline than online, so the party had to leave him about Pyr. I think it was the Zoraï tickets he wanted, I hate to leave anyone behind so I waited until the others had crossed into Zoraï, I believe, before catching up.

I do remember him diving headlong into every fight with admirable gusto, usually getting hacked down as quickly as I would have too :) Such enthusiasm is infectious and invaluable, we all need it so that we can continue to enjoy what we do. DP is a blessing that brings eternal youth, and anyone that could give as much to their friends and teammates as I have heard here is truly a friend.

May the good Lord rest his soul and may the kami give him peace within. I say this for Dardis, though I didn't know him well.

Ii didnt know him, because i play on another server and my english is broken.
But I will call him friend, because we had one big thing together! We called for a period of our lifes Atys our Home, where we can rest. He ends his life here now and went over the rainbowbridge to a better part of life. We will still be here and think of him and the best think we can do is to mention ourselves to live a good life.
Dear Dardis, I wish you that you can show on us and be contently.

My dear Homins,

I am sorry to bring such sad news once again. Dardis has passed on :( , his (in body) will be in FF (Flaming Forest) for the remainder of this day so that his family and friends can pay their last repects. Then in our hearts forever, God bless him!

Since I'm from another server I'm only able to guess, but: I would have called him friend if we ever met. Following your description of his personality I surely would've been impressed by his strenght.

Ryzom certainly fits the needs of disabled persons to have their 'second' life away from all this pain and those struggles they have to face in the 'real' world. I know a few wich I only can admire for their strenght. Imaging the feel of loss I had to face when they would be gone I certainly feel with all those who knew Dardis.

Dardis, wherever you be, have a good time.

I am sure I am one of the many who saw but did not know Dardis. Yet it is times like this that remind us we are all homins and we can come together to celebrate the life and realize our loss as a member of our (Ryzom) family has passed on.

I salute the strength and resolve of Dardis and offer my condolences to his family and friends.
