Thoughts to a friend.

Post by ffxjosh »

Oh! Its you. Welcome. I haven't spoken to you for what seems an eternity.

Take a seat, sorry i haven't been able to tidy my apartment everything is.. oh? yes. thank-you. At least someone can understand that we cant all spend our time lounging about.

So? how have things been? Good. Glad to hear that things have sorted themselves out. How is your beloved one? oh that's really good news! I'm so happy for you two.

Me? well. I am ok, i suppose. There has been allot on my mind lately.

I would love to tell you. but you didn't come round here for me to mindlessly talk about the way Atys is now.

Haha.. you sure you want to hear?

ok.. well i warned you

*smiles kindly*

I am sick. Oh. no, no no. Not that kind of sick.

I am sick and tired, sick and tired of living my life like this. I can still remember what the times were like before all this. Can you? Can u still remember the way things were? There are so few who live to tell the stories of old. The times of peace, the times of love.

But look at where we are now. look at what we have become. All this anger, all this hate, we struggle for land, for a self-righteous living where we can pretned to call ourselves free. Where now life revolves around the dapper and the blade. I am no longer called "brother" but i am now called "foe" buy many who i would have died for.

What do u mean 'who started it'? Well no, I didn't. you didn't. Well. hmm, I guess u are right. The self-proclaimed 'Gods' did start this. They asked us to fight for them, they rallied us to their cause, asking us to 'convert' other homins to follow the way that they have set.

Haha, yes. putting it like that it does seem odd. If one of the divine powers were truly the most supreme then yes, they should fight it out among themselves, It would be nice to see just one power in control. If the kami or karavan were truly so great they should obliterate the other faction themselves. Not use us homins, as puppets, to fight for them. It's true, it's what were are. Puppets. We go around mindlessly following them out of some fear or some hope that they wont hurt us. or that they will provide us with great rewards.

HAHAHA very funny, no I'm not about to start a mutiny. No, because instead of following the Kami or Karavan they would then follow me.. What i mean is WHY follow anyone at all? why fight when sharing would be easier, why struggle by ourselves when united we can acheive anything. The kittin fear us. Its true. they have seen us when we unite. they have felt our hatred towards them, but now. now they lie in wait. watching us homins go about doing our factions bidding. waiting for the moment where we are all filled with hatred towards other homins that we do not see the kittin as a threat.

haha well yes even inside each of the factions there is discontent. Take the other day for example. a group of homins had decided to clear out the lands of an oposing faction.. and asked for all homins who beleived as they did to help them do so, to which they all agreed. but when the time came, when the curtian was lifted and the time to fight was upon them, their 'friends' were no where to be seen. and becuase they had not shown. well, It was a terrrible sight. they were left outnumbered..

I know how hominkind hates each other. I feel it everytime i vist a city. I can't walk into any city without being judged. Judged by the colour of my skin. by the way i hold a mask in appeciation to the kami on my face. I am misunderstood. I am passionate for the kami, but i am passionte for the love that the kami show, and i want to live my life showing as muchy love towards all homins as i can. Sure the kami may have their own way of doing things. Maybe they do care a bit too much about the ecosystem of the planet, about how much we should 'harm' atys. But that doesnt stop them from loving us? I do not care about what a homin looks like, how a homin acts, what they believe in their heart. As long as a homin has a heart that beats then i will show love towards that homin.

No, im not being niave and yes, yes of course there have been times where i have had to fight.. on many occasion have i held swords with a homin who hates me. Even if i was slain by a homin. I would not hold him in anger or hate. Every homin i have fought has fought for a reason that they beleive to worth fighting for. Take you for example.. I know that there have been times in your life where you have fought hard against another homin, It may not even be often. But everytime you have had to fight, you have done it for a purpose that is worth fighting for. Be it by royal decree. or be it by your own will or beliefs.

I just wish there was a way to stop all this. so that no homin would live in fear of other homins..

I long for the day that i can hold hands with my now enimies, embrace them with all the love that a homin can give. No. i cant see that day being soon. tho i wish it to, i want atys to unite again as it did when we came out of exile from the roots.

I fear that there will soon be no homins who know of the love that atys once held. For there are few who are alive to rember how once things were...

I remember. And for my son's sake, I will fight, in whatever way I can, to keep the better things - kindness, freedom, sharing - alive.

The only thing you have said with which I disagree, is that the Kami care about Atys...no, I fear they no longer care even about that. Only their war, only the power they hold over homins. The Karavan are no different, but at least their followers have sense and do not follow quite so blindly. The Kami abandoned their old ways when they allowed homins to rape Aelius, Olkern, and Almati of their resources, in favor of their selfish desire to complete their temples. And what have the temples brought? Bloodshed, war, hatred, propaganda...and a few shiny picks and caster pants.

I too remember those times with sadness.

I too long for a day when Homins are no longer puppets to these false gods. I long for a day when Homins can live in peace, free from their three main threats - the Kami, the Karavan and the Kitin. Be in no doubt on of the 3 Ks will lead homins to destruction if we let them.

Yes.. i guess u are right..

It saddens me to say this, even tho i have put so much trust in the Kami ways. Time does change everything, even the tallest trees will shed their leaves. The smallest creature can still grow powerful. The kami are no exception.

How could somthing that started off as Love end up turning into such Evil?

Evil comes in all forms, but it's seed finds the most fertile soil in the souls of the self deceived. There is no war between Jena and Ma-Duk. How many souls have been lost to violence? I can name only one, Still Wyler.

There is conflict, there is competition, but this is a war without death, without victims. Battles carry no more weight then a sporting event in which a contested area becomes the prize. Hate does not grow from the action of battle, but from the pride and shame of victory and defeat. Those who claim to be victims of this war, have only recieved injuries to thier ego.

The hate of which you speak lies within individual Homins not the Gods! Where in the commandments of Jena does it say "Smite the Kami"? Where in the Revelations of Ma-Duk is the call for violence? It is not there. The Gods do not call for war.

There is no reason why a faction can not contest an outpost, a forage area, any place where conflict is allowed and then within moments of the contest being finished congratulate each other, offering aid and companionship.

There is no dictate from Jena that prevents me from aiding a Kami. Those traditions are borne from mortals, not the Creator.

It is blind hatred and blind prejudice that prevents you from seeing this evil is not from the Gods, it is from within.

Do not confuse the words of the Kami and Karavan with the Commandments and the Resolutions. My own personal faith demands that I believe both of these scriptures come from each God. These are the words we should rule our lives by.

"Has there ever been peace on Atys? A time where all homin kind were friends?"

"Only when every race was faced with a grand danger and they need the help of the others."

"Even then they still hated each other. This holy war isn't holy, it's to calm ones power and show their strenght. We fought to show the other races who were loyal followers to who. Why can't they see the Darkness that we have seen, when will they see the true evil, the truth behind the Kittin, the true allince of the Karavan and Kami?"

"Homin fight to show their power, wealth, and honor to others. These outpost, crystals, and powerful materials are nothing. They just show power and greatness nothing more then toys and useless trinkets. Tho I must admit that homins have used these tools to master that skill that is just beyond their grasp and yet others use them like mad men and then become start to crave power and war."

"They know nothing of evil or Darkness, we've faced it and we have proof of what is at stack!" Homins clame to be the greatest but when it comes to true darkness they are nothing more then little kids!"

"Don't let them get to you, it's hard for us as well to see homins say they fight for us but in truth this isn't what we want. Once those outposts were used for trade and research....now battles."

"We should just let the Darkness free and let them see what we have faced and see how they fare!"

"You know you don't mean that Windra."

"I know it's just this war is so stupid what are we gaining and look what I've lost?"

"You lose wont be in vain, look what you are gaining from it."

"Jena...Ma-Duk will this ever end, will peace ever return?"

"All in good time Windra all in good time, best you return."

"Right...till we meet again."
