the biggest difference between the races is attitude, philosophy even..

The Matis are from a rigid Hierarchical society, and specialise in sciences of manipulating nature.
the key word for Matis is Dominance.
.. they are control freaks :)

The Fyros have a military culture, and revel in fighting. perhaps more competitive than combative, but you can call them thugs if you explain it in simple words ;)

The Trykers, supposedly freedom loving rebels out for a good time, just dont want anyone telling them what to do. "Childish" or self-centered explains why Tryker politics are as unruly as they are.
.. you wont get a succesful Tryker thief - they get upset when they arent the centre of attention .. (but they are so much fun to have around :D )

The Zorai, we are told, are philosophers and deep thinkers. I can only assume the Kami have killed those off in the current political situation as being no use to them, and replaced them with some kind of blue-skinned Fyrosian :(
There had been some wonderful characters coming from the Jungles but I havent seen them for a long time.

If you are thus discribing the current situation it is more than a bit untrue.

I'd call the Matis :Lawful. It's not dominance they are after but structure, stability, well-organised system in most things. Right now matis have the biggest and most proffessional alliance for both trade and fighting which is more like a brotherhood in arms when viewed from the inside.

That is one thing that allows them to hold their ground against, kami, neutrals and kamivan all at the same time and not loose a single op (though the thresholds are low in most places)

This trait of matis also allows them not to squabble among themselves and keep the matis grounds peaceful and stable.

Hi @ all,

oh acridiel, if you are really needed for report aboute Leanon you`re not there ;)

Funny to read, that the situation here on Aristotle concerning the population rarity of races is quite the same as it is over here on Leanon (with 1 exception).

Matis and Fyros are equally desired by the Homins. A sensitive balance though.

Since Tryker is running smoothly (on most PC`s), they have an impressive boost in popularity and now, damn it, everywhere you go you see Tryker, lots of Tryker...more Tryker...

ähem ok back to topic:
*chases away the RP scraping through in her sentence*

The Tryker get closer to Matis and Fyros in popularity. At least this is my impression.

Only Zoraï, as it is on Aristotle, suffer on a lack of Newbies and old chars, as most of them are gone. Today, Zoraï is mostly invaded by the other 4 races though, hehe...what a pity :( even though in this way, it is not empty at all...

And what regards attraction of Zoraï may be mentioned, that it is a question of personal taste. For me, Zoraï are the most attractive and visual most perfect race on Atys and the race with the best background for integration into their RP.
The customization of Zoraï-faces just is slightly different to the other races. It is not about Eye-color or nose length but about the width of Eyes and the lenghts of the different horns of the mask. A Zoraï face is so individual as any face of Matis or Fyros. You just must have a closer look to appreciate this in its fully range.

As a true Matis, you try to impose your interpretation of the races as the better one :D

I actually agree, that the Matis race does appeal to those who can build a strong alliance.

Choosing to call it Lawful, or control-freak.. is purely semantics :)

and ... I am Matis myself

I think another reason Zorai and towns like min-cho are so deserted these days is simply down to the fame restrictions and tp access. I'm not too sure if min-cho is a neutral tp but if you are kara aligned the closest tp is Zora (over 1km away). I have been in min-cho probably twice since the fame changes, previously I used to visit at least once a day.

Nope, neutrals can't use Min-Cho, Hoï-Cho, or Jen-Laï. Or Natae, Davae, and Avalae. Or Windermeer, what's-its-name, and Avendale.

After reading the replies to this thread, it seems to me that the situation with the Zoraï race's appearance is that you either hate it or love it. XD

No, Min-Cho hasn't a teleporter pact, that is available to neutrals. But the neutral has the option to run from Underway Arch in Grove of Umbra, a short but much more dangerous route.
