This game is so complex !!!!

Hello all,

As you have guessed from the title of the trhread...I am new to Ryzom.

I had Ryzom bought to my attention in a forum comment that included a Link. I had never heard of this game and was surprised to see the amount of detail and work that had gone into every aspect of it...from the character progression skills, to the changing world environment.
After looking at the forums here.......the real strength of any game is it's community......I decided to download the game direct from the site link.
Now I studied the site for as much game information as I could get, I managed to gain a basic unbderstanding of the game mechanics, and world politics.

Last night I took the final step and loaded the game and launched into the world.......and was only 80% confused.

I was following the game tutorial ......(which is fine for someone who understands the basic principles of online gaming).
but I was suffering from information overload until someone came to chat and explain the basics to me......yes...the VERY basics..lol

After a brief introduction I am very impressed with the game and feel I am in control of a character that can be anything I want him to be.....and not a 'cookie cutter' clone of the next guy.
In the case of Ryzom More complex is more fun !!!!

Welcome to Ryzom, if you leave the beginners Island to the Mainlands, feel free to ask in Region Chat, there´ll be some nice people answering for sure.
Don´t get too lonely on the Island though, once you think you´ve managed the Basics, hop to the Mainland.

For some tutorials do a Forum search, or look to my site under "Tutorials".

I use to think that to but have gotten so use to Ryzom it seems easy now

Having a mentor will help greatly to get you going. Nothing beats experience so whatever you want to learn, do. There will always be ways to tweak and improve yourself... those choices will be ongoing as you level.
