Fame

Post by d29565 »

I had a guide tell me, who had talked with other CSR's, that once you reach -100 in fame, the other side will not move anymore while killing guards. So if you have -100 karavan fame, then you cannot kill guards anymore, because kami will not go up. You have to do the limited amount of missions. I just thought I would let you know in case someone was confused by this, like I was.

Then this was changed recently. I know that when you hit -100 in fame, the other side goes up very very very slowly. But it definetly doesn't stop. But you are right, that your fame increases faster, if you do missions, especially the ones, where the mission giver will be 'very thankfull', which normally are 'kill bandits' and craft missions.

I can also confirm that your fame still rises when you are -100 and killing guards. Like with everything in Ryzom the closer you get to max the more you need to do to complete a level or in this case get a fame point.

you mean, for example, being -100 kami and 60 kara and killing kami temple guards for a week in a row you can finally ding 61 kara ? whoa ;-)

kara/kami missions (kill bandits) for q50 area (those are town tp welcomers and in tryker dd/rw tp welcomers aswell), will be wise choice if you want to raise you kami/kara fame to 100... or if neutral char wants to get both kami/kara fame to + side.

dont even bother with craft/forage/courier missions or doing missions in higher region. too much trouble for too little fame gain.

edit: remember, if you dont get xp from killing npc, they dont get too mad :-) (no fame loss with them, but mission done still gives fame for you)

*mutters darkly about rushin's kami fame being stuck at 92, and it was 88 before the temple's were in*
