From the point of view of "immersion"... which other people who complain about the game economy also seem to miss..
Players are only a trivial fraction of the worlds population !
Yes we are all heros, and incredibly productive, and skilled, and totally wonderful, and everything else in that vein.. but we arent the entirety of the population, so it is "unrealistic" to restrict the economy on purely player related grounds.
Sure the merchants in Yrkanis dont sell q 150 gear, but is it inconceivable that they have some contact with the merchants in Davae, Avalae or Natae, and thus happy to buy it and send it to their friends ?
Trade and communications are what allows nations bigger than a single city, so restricting these would be artificial and detract from the quality of the world Nevrax has created.
that is my philosophical objecton to the idea.
There is only ONE easily accessible city of q 250 vendors, and only ONE easily accessible city of q 200 vendors, and they are both in Fyros.. If you are Neutral.. Now I realise Neutrals are a dieing breed, and are being systematically squeezed out of the game, but be damned if Im going to go quietly. This would be just another persecution, so I refuse to accept it.
That is my emotional objection to the idea.
It would simply add to the amount of stuffing around and time wasting of inventory management, taking up time that could be used hunting/levelling exploring/ doing the fun parts of ryzom...
That is my practical objection to the idea.
so,
no
and No
and three times NO !
I dont think much of the idea
