I am wondering about a couple of things:
How do I see the stats of the weapons I am weilding? I started to buy another sword but I wasn't sure if it was better and I couldn't figure out how to check the sword I was holding.
Secondly, I saw some trainers and it was like - extra hitpoints and damage for 10 skill points. Is this worth it? do you drop levels? what is the downfall?
Thanks!!

Constitution, Strength, Metabolism, Balance, Increase Damage, Accurate Attack, HP Credit Upgrade, Speeding Up Power, Melee Protection Aura, Invulnerability...all things you should definitely get and keep upgraded.Secondly, I saw some trainers and it was like - extra hitpoints and damage for 10 skill points. You can also right click on it in your hands bar; if its the one you're actually holding at the moment, then right click and do info.. if you have it in your bag, then left click on the "right hand" weapon icon and when the choice of other weapons comes up, just right click on the weapon you want to see and its info should pop right upkatriell wrote:Open inventory (press I) and right click on an item. Re: Hello again (a couple of more Q's)
what about the training? I have 130 skill points and I am ranked 16. I lose skill points when I train, but what are the downs of this?
Re: Hello again (a couple of more Q's)
Heh, when I was starting out I collected up about 100 SP and thought that was a good thing. XD
Fight SP are for spending, unless there's a particular high-cost action, like Invulnerability for 50sp, that you want to save up for. I'd suggest that Constitution, Strength, Increase Damage, HP Credit Upgrade, Circular Attack (available after level 50), and the defense trio (Melee Protection Aura, Invulnerability, Speeding Up Power, all available after level 20), as well as Self Heal Life at a level that will heal about half your HP at least, be prioritized. Accurate Attack is good too, but it's not quite as important to keep it up-to-date in my experience.

Re: Hello again (a couple of more Q's)
How useful is invulnerability when you're soloing though? I can see its use in a group.. but if you can't take any actions, that doesn't sound like it helps much when you're alone.
Re: Hello again (a couple of more Q's)
Just buys you some time while you're running away
Edit: But yes, I would suggest getting MPA (melee protection aura) first and invul when you can spare the points from the other stuff

Re: Hello again (a couple of more Q's)
When soloing invun is most useful either as a break from fighting, so you can sit and regen some health/stam/sap for a few seconds, or more usually a means of escaping from battle. I often will use a combination of invun/mpa/speed boost to escape from battles where needed. Things like invun are also useful in group pvp where you can stand at the front for a few seconds and take many of the hits from the opposing team, giving your team a few seconds relief.

Re: Hello again (a couple of more Q's)
from the description I didn't think you could move when using invuln... it says you can't take any actions at all, so I figured it's best use was taunt what you can, hit it, and let your party do the rest
Re: Hello again (a couple of more Q's)
The best idea I had for using invulnerability so far is in conjunction with digging:
1) find a nice ripe excellent or, even better, supreme node
2) swing your luckiest pick carefully to prime the node and coax it into mode 5
3) tenderly heal the node's life back up to bursting before hitting it with your most aggressive action, hammering at that risk bar with all your might!
4) stab Invulnerability just as the node goes BOOM!
5a) 3 seconds later you're back on the surface surrounded by surprised bodocs, with no teleport sickness
5b) 3 seconds later if you got your aim just right, you finally made it into the canopy. Awesome!
I have a dream of bringing daylight back to the prime roots, this way, putting some colour back into those poor washed out bodocs and scaring away the nasty voraxes. Unfortunately I never quite got the timing right, or when I do instead of a BOOM! I just hear a hiss of something deflating and get enveloped by acrid green fumes
