MMORPG's like this game, and World of Warcraft believe it or not, are not made with power gamers in mind. Hell, I've seen people already past the half way mark to the level cap, and the games only been out a month! They'll also be posting "there's nothing to do..." posts in the next few weeks.

Play the game as it was designed, go slowly, explore, meet new people, start a community, etc. Nevrax created a beautiful world, take your time and enjoy it.
Yah!!
I like your post. I hope that people will take the time to enjoy this game. The possibilities for diversion are many.

I played most of the entire last open beta ... spent a few days on the mainland. Game launched and I still spent almost 3 weeks on newb land ... biggest reason was to help the newer guys and to learn some of the things I did not learn as well as I wanted to.

Yeah yeah ... so you camped kipee? Nope only level 36 in melee and magic when I left.

Point ... there is as much depth to this game as you allow yourself to have. Alot of people what EQ or AO etc and this is not those games. It is different and I believe made for a truly older crowd.

I am sorry that you did not find what you were looking for in SoR. Hope you do find it somewhere. If not we will be here and glad to see you return if that is your wish.

Eek.. I'm not sure Sports is a good alternative to games if you're looking to keep things cooled off :-) .

Politics and religion probably aren't a safe bet, either...

That leaves ...

Agreed. I love doing all the different quests the folks in the mainland give out, and not only to receive all the cool quest items (loot like flaming swords and imbued armor), but also so the I can feel like I took an intergral part in the story of Ryzom.

For instance, I almost crapped myself with excitement when I completed the quest, "Conquering the Decay Gremlin", and now all us Trykers have armor that lasts and lasts.... all thanks to me! :)

Huh? Could you please go into more detail about that? Sounds interesting.

Oh, and, uh, first post! Guess i'll add; beautiful game! Terrible sound scape! Hope Nevrax plans on adding some more 'noise' to the game (like the crackle of torches, the creaking of doors, the hum of magic and more audible atmosphere and background noise in general). I don't even hear my own footsteps! And please, for the love of god, go back to the drawing board when it comes to the login screen and character select.

your choice. I can understand your point of view, how much pain would I have saved myself if I had quit Horizons about six months into it, instead of nine and a half.

But this game, for me, I will stay. See ya in a year, have fun wherever you go. And could you close the door when ya leave please.
