New player saying hello!

Post by zlidrit »

Greetings people!

I finnaly decided to try this game, after it was recomended to me over and over.

I am experienced mmorpg player and old time pen & paper veteran.
In game i look for roleplay, rich dynamic world with some sence of achevement - and more of all a strong mature community ( no pwn3d n00b please ! )

Until now i stand largely disapointed in all current mmorpgs.

But i have high expectations for Ryzom

One question

Servers... Are there US and EU servers - or are the servers centralised ( better ) - I am european player , but i found that US servers do have more roleplayers (could be because of shared language)

Thats it..

See you ingame :)

There are three main servers, English speaking (America, England, Australia, or anyne really) French and German.

Ive yet to find a pwn3d n00b style player except in jest, and this is definatly the ideal game for RP, try get into a decent rp guild (the two i can vouch for are Dragonblades wich is near perma RP or Samsura wich is RP in any public channel but not so much in guild (iirc).
I exspect there are a few more, check the guild forum for more details.

Welcome

So far i am finding the game very similar to Anarchy Online.
People are probably the most helpfull I ever encountered in any MMO.

And the game looks to be the ultimate "sandbox"

I'm a High Officer in the Order of the Dragonblades, so I'm not sure if I'm "allowed" to vouch for it as well. ;) But I know I have a lot of fun RPing in the Order. We use brackets to denote OOC, so while we are always IC by default, we also have good OOC communication. Makes it easy to ask and answer game mechanics questions, for example. The Order is based on honor and valor, while the Samsara are mercenaries. So I'd recommend either depending on what kind of character you want to roleplay. :)
Jelathnia, Kasarinia, KianShi, Maethro, ShuaLi, and OPaxie (Arispotle)
TeiJeng (Leanon)
