Blue is beautiful. ;) Welcome to Atys. The starter Islands can be lonely but once you cross over to the mainland you will meet others of your race and see how beautiful Atys is. Joining a guild is not so hard since there are many that like to help and get new players started. Visit the Guild thread to get an idea on what guilds are from what regions and their stance on cult and roleplaying. Also feel free to add me to your buddy list and send me a tell if you need any help. Plus, don't be shy to use region chat to ask questions, most people will answer and offer assistance.

Dont join the first guild that invites you, as lots of recruiters hang around the newbi spawn point and snatch up as much as they can. Look around for one you enjoy and find out about them.

Yea Zora is the quietest place in the game, but as you are already a Duo, you do not need to worry too much about grouping

Wow, I must say I'm truly flattered by all the responses! It has been a long time since I've seen such a welcoming and helpful community in game and on official forums.

We have made our way to the mainland after honing our skills on Zorai Isle and look forward to our further adventures. The Kipees no doubt breath easier knowing we have left the isle for other hunting grounds.

One further question, is there any one area or city that is a large melting pot - a sort of "hub" for the homins? I happen to like the looks of some of the other races armors but find little available in the Zorai capital. I admit I should probably be working on my crafting more - but the allure of exploration makes that difficult at the present.

Hope to see you all in Atys :)

Ha, there´l be enough Kipees and new Monsters to hunt down. Don´t sweat it. :D

As for a melting pot, here on Lenaon Server it is Yrkanis, the Matis Capital, dunno about your Server Arispotle though. But it´d be interesting to know... *g*

For sure there´ll be some people around who´ll help you get to other lands rather quickly and under no real amount of danger.
*sigh* I just wish our Server had this influx of Neewbes. Or rather, this annoucement of newbees. Our new Players don´t seem to eager to post their arrival. :( I keep seeing new ones, and they keep being sucked into large guilds by way of bribes and whatever...

Fairhaven, the Tryker capital is generally a nice place to hang out.. It's quite an interesting walk from Zora but more than possible :-)

Heya there and welcome to the bark for the both of you.

Most capital cities would be the 'melting pots' you' re looking for, but ... Zora can indeed be empty at times as the higher level regions are so easily accesible in the Witherings. So most likely the 'indiginous' folks would be out hunting or working of foraging elsewhere.
The Burning Desert with Pyr as capital has the disadvantage then that it' s higher quality cities are to be found in different areas; hence trading and commerce and thus population is more likely to be scattered around.
Both Yrkanis and Fairhaven seem to atract homins from all over the New Lands although I could swear there' s been a shift from Yrkanis to Fairhaven lately in crowdiness, but again, that could be a timezone issue. Both these capitals are major trading hubs, meeting points of mixed cultures. Now if only to get there ... ;)

well as most already sayed, Fairhaven is the place to go meet the fashioable Homins ;)

Zora is indeed a bit empty at times... specialy at seasons change, when the supreme nodes pop *lol*

going to FH via trekking is doable if u find a homin thats guiding you... just ask in /region if some trek is going there.
