2nd cd-key?

i've got a little network at home and i'd like to play this game together with my girlfriend. is it technically possible to install the same software on two computers without buying the game two times? i assume that the game is secured with a cd-key and using it on two different computers will not work if we want to play together. i know that keys can be bought, but only for the full price of the game - and that's exactly what i'm trying to avoid.

you'll also need a second copy of the game to be compleatly legaly secure as the programs licence limits to installing on one computer just like most other licences (doesnt physicaly limit you, just legaly ^_^)
