Im no fan of large alliances myself, and it seems to e that your confidance is such that you dont believe they can win, so instaid of trying to ruin names and talk trash, and to quote my old commander "Shut up and shoot"

Re: Call to arms... Ryzom ... People
Please do come and defend this OP along with anyone else that wishes to fight on that side.kyesmith wrote:no pointing out that altho some people have come and gone since your last attack people still dislike the KA enough to stop you winning.
I want people to try to stop us on the battlefield; it's much more interesting to win or lose in a hard-fought battle than it is to win an argument here in forum-pvp.

We are still willing to trade. We have Kami and Karavan allies. We'll support both if they get attacked. But regardless of our allies we will trade with anyone who wants to. Just give me a yell and we'll talk. I don't discriminate about trades. We are neutral. All ya gotta do is ask.vguerin wrote:This is great news, your guild went from the top of the list down several spots when we saw you intended to play as neutrals finally... You have some good OP mats and I hope you intend to move back to the top of the list so I can have some.![]()
Re: Call to arms... Ryzom ... People
why does one guild deserve an outpost more than another?
i cant think of a valid reason.
but i do view the outposts as end game content. and therefore attracting the more powerul players/guilds - of which there are more and more emerging.
i dont see how you can liken the taking of an outpost to 'theft' of 'property'.
if i play chess with someone and i take their bishop - its not a personal attack and its not theft, its me playing the game as im allowed to do so, and in the case of ryzom as i have paid to do so.
i appreciate some people enjoy pvp - whilst others do not. but it is a part of the game - that much is fact. If you dont want to involve yourself in pvp then dont wear your tags - dont go in the relevant zones - and dont own an outpost. If you do any of these things then you have made the conscious decison to enter the pvp side of the game and thus forfeit the right to whinge about it in hind sight if things dont go or dont look to be going your way.
The outpost isnt APs - just like my outpost isnt OOTNs and Omega Vs outpost doesnt truly belong to them either. They are outposts - and they are to be disputed - thats what they were put in the game for - and thats what is happening. Why should one guild control an outpost for the entire lifespan of the game? How is that 'fair' - as so often is referenced in these topics.
my argument here isnt really even in reference to the AP situation - more the points of view i find myself reading in this discussion. Whilst one side is seeing this fight as a stance against war mongering and expansion - i feel myself falling in rank with the kara alliance to fight against the dictatorial belief of some sort of birth right to OP ownership.
My views are my own and as far as im concerned do not effect my relationships in game with kamis kara or neutral players. I have differing views on things to my mother - but it doesnt mean i dont love her

Everyone look, it is really this simple. If you do not want to fight other homins ever, DO NOT OWN AN OUTPOST!!!aardnebb wrote:You look forward to it, I get a sickening feeling that I will be waving goodbye to a few more friends leaving forever after this weekend. Personally I enjoy the odd bit of PvP, but I don't enjoy the way it's driving off my non-pvp friends.
And the entire game that you had before their introduction is still there for you, no reason to leave.
EDIT:
You tell people not to take it personally, but frankly lets look at what the declaration says. It says "me and my friends are gonna try and take what you and your friends have. If we have to kill your characters for it a few times, so be it." Can't really get much more personal than that, honestly...
Actually it would be we are going to take what Nevrax has, and you are temporarily playing with. They do not own that Outpost, they are the current holders of it, just like you don't own the Amber you are digging or the amps you are wearing.
People really need to realize it is a game, and Outpost were built to have an in-game play system.

That is just plain old funny!!!!norvic wrote:I would say the Matakaras and thier coat-tail riders have some sort of league table of conquests Zahan, and DT is taking your posting here as reason to push you up that league and make threats accordingly.
All the more reason for everyone to stand together and oppose this aggresive alliance before they get their snowball rolling.
The silly thing is as we have said before numerous times, is that we have held back on taking Outposts because people were getting all ruffled about it. If we really had wanted to, we would have attacked every Outpost by now.
Not saying we would have won them, but for the fun of the challenge. It is much more interesting to fight against intelligent folks for a change rather than kill the 1 Millionth Cuttler of your life on Atys. As I have said before if you do not want to fight give up your Outpost.

lmao - i found myself agreeing with rushin and jayce with regularity - and i only really know them in passing in game. I'd like to think this means were logical thoughtful people - I actually think this means were all as deluded as each other
