Sorry, Lyrah. For the best and dmg maxed weapon, you'll need Dzao as grip in terms of adversary dodge modifier. Yana is best used as hammer, it'll not be equalling Nita or Patee as counterweight, as it'd slow the weapon.
Agreed on the amp, only the focus counts. You might even craft merchant mat for shaft and grip, it doesn't matter for the amp's stats on magic boost.
For light armor, the only way to go is Shu, Moon, Visc and Gulatch, as this'll max out the dodge factor. It'll also be in nice red :D
That's in about what made my customers happy... :) ...no secret for an experienced Harvester.

CU, ;)
What's the Adversary xxx Modifier mean anyway? The higher the stat, the harder for a mob to xxx? Or easier?

Hi!

You got it right, the higher the adversary something modifier, the harder for the mob to something , which on the other hand means the weapon will hit more...still depending on both combattants skill levels, though.

And in NOOB zone, NONE of the dodge/parry etc even AFFECT you...SO..
Until Q50...go with NOTHING but damage/speed for weapon and PROTECTION factors for armor.

I found the "magic" material as well...for protection rating...you are looking for FINE Q20 ligament. Check it out...it raises protection rating on ANY type of armor you add it too. Over all..that was the ONE material that I found WELL worth the harvesting.

And I agree, there was also a quartered pelvis that was a FASTER speed than ANY choice foraged woods..I forget which mob it was, and I THINK it was Matis character, but it MIGHT have been near Pyr on my Fyros.

AND after Q 50, SURE go for dodge this or parry that, and trying to throw the mob off with weapon stats. And use that SLOW but durable two handed sword. Since I MAKE them, I will go with faster dagger, that needs replacing more often, and does less damage PER HIT, but the same or MORE damage per SECOND.

Honestly on LIGHT armor...it is a matter of preferrence. I haven't noticed NOT getting hit less with HIGH dodge factor or high parry factor. I HAVE noticed getting hit less with higher protection factor (stats in ()'s with armor on, and FULL damage without)

I still look for Dzao fiber for armor, and buo OR Dzao for weapons. But I also make MOSTLY daggers...which ONLY have ONE grip (I imagine that a pike or other multi gripped weapon...that the grip will weight in heavier).

I tend to try for an amp that will work OK even if I run out of sap and have to stoop to SMACKING the mob while the sap regens. But that isn't ALL that effective, so I carry daggers too (and enchanted ones if I can).
