No offence Ty but this is kind of a redundant poll. Most of the people that would have voted in the truly negative categories have already done so, with their feet!

Too many of them IMHO. :(

So while I couldn't careless about PvP, I don't think it has improved the game (I've lost too many friends and people I respect because of it) and just ignore it.

No offence taken :)

I agree to a certian extent with you here..

Yes PvP has played its part in tearing the community appart.

IIRC tho most of my friends who have left have left due to OTHER players losing their senses and becomming immature and selfish and generally being annoying.. Yes PvP has played a part but most of it is the players fault. sure the community would be the same as it was BEFORE the PvP eliments were introduced. but there are pro's and con's to that, such as SoR becomming stagnate.. hmm

Much love and peace

I couldn't agree more... this is singlehandedly the top reason for folks moving on... PvP was just the kicker for many.

It's been over a year since my first Master skill (after not using it for 3 months to keep DP lower) and to this day it is a skill I rarely use. Like all the skills I have mastered... there is not much call to use them. Obviously we raise the skills we prefer first, so basically we are not able to use the skills we like best (without nerfing others) and we stagnate.

No one in the Dragonblades has left because of PvP, and almost all missing persons on my contact list are merely new players who didn't stay for whatever reason. There might be a couple people I used to know who left because of PvP, but I wouldn't know since they simply disappeared silently.

Maybe an appropriate option for me to vote would've been "yes, Ryzom feels different, but I can tolerate it." I voted for "indifferent" because the former option has a no in it instead of a yes. I think the introduction of outposts and faction war has been good because of the RP opportunities they present - like Ulani said. Politics have increased and starting with the temple war I've had another thing to trigger character development with.

So, "indifferent" because I appreciate the RP surrounding the implementation of PvP more than the PvP itself. I barely participate in PvP, just the occasional duel, Matis Arena tournament event, or outpost battle.

Spires sound a bit inconvenient...but I expect we'll adapt. :)

Yes I agree it IS a problem when you reach the top. What do you do with your favourite skill then?

Personally I don't have that problem yet. I only play a couple of hours a day and I always figured I'd got 8 years to get to 250, so why rush? :D

So I guess the question is what plans do Nevrax have to alleviate the stagnation? PvP isn't enough is it? People can get bored of that too. ;)

I think that other than a few people who complain when there killed even though they are tagged, the pvp has brought more to the game

Good to see our German counterparts (other than arcidle) taking part in our forums.. :)

Somthing that a friend of mine brought up (before he left the game) is this..

Once you have reached level 250 in a skill (for the sake of argument we shall use elemental magic) It would be VERY cool if you could then "nerf" yourself to a level where you can team with other players.

E.G You have a friend who is level 150 heal and you offer to help using your 250 Elemental Magic. You either equip and item to make you level 150) or use a personal setting where you can "become" level 150 for a temp time. That way although you dont EXP you can still team and not nerf other players...

Hope that makes sense. It would be very nice to see such a thing avaible in Atys. I know i would use it :)
