OOC:
Fas, you got it a bit backwards... YOU (and others) repeatedly came into town peacefully and crafted/trained/chatted etc... before leaving, you would put on mage amps and kill every tagged player in town... REPEATEDLY. Those of us tired of this backstabbing decided to do our best to stop it and we put the word out to our allies.

Now this decision having been made already, the Karavaneers made a backstory ("Yrkanis Shielding Act" sounded better than "Not taking it anymore") that fit the storyline as well as imposed a start date. This is not RP, we are doing it because we are tired of having to put up with this and have the ability to stop it. The players and guilds that continue annoying half the community are going to see repercussions.

Thats not RP, losing your outpost (or your allies) because you riled up enough people by killing them in town without good reason or provoking... Thats reality and is happening now. Once the next phase kicks in, one of us "might" RP a grand story afterwards, but the forums are not the game... This is not RP, this is how we are playing the game.

Many Kamists that I respect do not see this side of the game because they are not acting this way in our cities and think it heavy handed. AFAIK, there are not any Karavaneers going to other cities and attacking AFKers... Walk a mile in our shoes and see if you'd put up with this.

We aren't anymore...
rushin wrote:Sum and Uma are among the best (nicest, good for community, always helping out and having fun, etc) ppl in this community.

It's another bleak week for Zorai :(
At least in Sumsum's case you left off the leader of one of the primary guilds to attack peaceful Matis cities/citizens. They are quickly moving to the top of the list of those we may retaliate against for attacking our towns. If their actions are the cause of their leaving, who is to blame but themselves. Good people are all over and it doesn't make them bad folks by playing a certain way. Their characters gameplay doesn't indicate good people to the Karavaneers sitting in town being attacked and it's reflected in how some people are seen by the community. They are not "good" to everyone, to some they are an annoyance that must be dealt with...
/OOC

If you bring war to our city streets, you can expect war in return... We may bring war to your frontdoor if these actions are not stopped. The Yrkanis Shielding Act spells this out clearly...

Fear doesn't do you any good when it won't stick...

Itsmagic: fear
Spiff: resist
Itsmagic: nuke
Spiff: ooh, he scratched my armor - thump/slow/interrupt
Itsmagic: dead

Wasn't that how it went at Malmont? :)

Smack talking aside, I don't see what all the fuss is about. If you dislike what is going on in Yrkanis, move your packers to Natae, Davae, Avalae, or another region. However, it seems the truth of the matter boils down to the fact that each of you griping loves to provoke your fellow players, ever chance you get. With all his riteous ramble, Doubletap is usually found crafting while in Yrkanis. I can tell you as a fact that this notion is a direct response to his seeing consistent grief by certain members of the opposite faction. We don't go to your towns and stir up a storm. Where is your argument? All I see here is juvenile banter about who's right and who's wrong. How about preseinting a clear case with some consistent points other than how it's "not fair".

On a side note, I have seen several cases where neutrals or unflagged individuals have healed members of either faction who HAVE engaged in PVP. I assume this has something to do with leaving a GVG region, coming through a teleporter safe-zone, and then healing, as this is a known issue, but that doesn't make it right. I was told by one CSR that they have received a huge number of tickets regarding this problem and that Nevrax is resolved to fix it in a timely manner. By design? I think not.

Ok DT, this is enough, and this will be my last post, cause I'm tired of this.
Stop your harrassment against Fasinus !
Fasinus is Matis, he's Kami and he's fighting for his freedom.
He has the same right than any other Matis to live in Yrkanis, to wear his flag, to show his religion.
The truth is that you and a few others are not enough tolerant to accept it (why not after all, but just keep it clean), that's why Fasinus has been ganked lots of time while crafting in Yrkanis. So of course after being ganked loads of time, at the end of the day his patience reach his limit and he wears his amps to defend himself.
Unlike you, he's not making big stories, same for myself, and same for most of kamis. He solves his "problems" ingame, always in a good mood, and when PvP is over he doesn't keep bitterness. And I can tell you that he's not killing every tagged player like you said. It really seems you only see what you want to see !
The fact is once he has his amps on he's much more difficult to kill, that's why you started your whinings and invented this shielding act to get some support and you added some RP to hide that YOU are the ganker.
Stop your lies, your OOC propaganda is giving a bad taste to PvP, if you want to RP an blind narrow-minded extremist, admit it, be it, and stop trying to be a hero.

Ok, a few thoughts.

Firstly, to DT, Fasinus is by no means "head ganker", and has no desire to be. Secondly, nuking someone when they are duelling someone is far worse to me than nuking a crafter, who would normally be in HP gear anyway (if grinding, and especially if they're tagged) and could just invuln and swap to amps/pike/whatever. If someone had ganked a crafter (any crafter, any side) while I was there, I would have healed them. Likewise if someone had ganked someone else in a duel, I would have healed them too, whatever side they were on. In fact, the only people who I wouldn't heal are the one person I have a particular OOC problem with and those that have asked me not to (most of the Sacred Circle of Guardians).

You accuse me of siding with the ganker, but there was only one side ganking at that moment, and I certainly did not join them.

Next, to address the issue of whether they'll "fix" the neutrals being able to heal. Firstly, Spiff, what you are talking about is neutrals/untagged being able to heal people who are engaged in PvP, as opposed to those that haven't fought back. This is a problem for sure, and not as they have intended, so I expect a fix for that.

In order to change this way of healing, would really be very simple. They would just need to stop any untagged player from healing any tagged player. The implications of doing this are obvious. Since there are many who play with their PvP tag on constantly (usually for RP reasons), these would no longer be able to team with anyone from an opposing faction, or anyone from their faction or neutral who is not tagged. So take a minute to consider what you're asking for here. You're asking that the community be further divided into those that PvP kami side, those that PvP kara side, those that don't PvP kami side, those that don't PvP kara side and neutrals. Be careful what you wish for...

One other point that occurs is what about genuine annoyance ganking? When someone's tagged and AFK, someone comes and kills them. Should the only people able to rez them really be people tagged for PvP from the same faction? Likewise if I'm digging in GoC, or in PR, and someone asks me for a rez, am I going to have to ask them if they're tagged up?

After all this, all that they were complaining about is that they couldn't gank fas. Not that I was helping him PvP them, because he wasn't doing that, and I couldn't help him do it, obviously. All this crying and calling us cheats should not be disguised as anything other than it is: They are upset because they couldn't gank someone. Considering the way I've played this game, it shouldn't be surprising to anyone who knows me that I enjoyed upsetting people in that manner.

totally agree Sum, reported DT this afternoon for the exact same things. Using this so called shield act as an excuse, it isn`t RP its a disclaimer to gank people, absolutly dispicable. The way you have harrassed people on these forums in the past is very very bad.

if you dont want to fight in Yrkanis, then untag, dont call your buddies to come and gank and complain on the forums that there kami`s in Yrk (shock horror)

This sort of thing will apply when spires go live, with proper rules, proper sides, proper implementation. what we have now is your rules, no-one gets a say, just your rules. and if anyone doesn`t like it then they are ganked. gratz.

If you really wanted to RP this, negotiations, trade deals, cease-fire pacts, something.....

.....but no, nothing, just you and the rest of the mob ganking.

final post too.

No, NOT anyone gets "ganked" people who have explicitly said that they like to PvP by clicking a stupid button.

Furthermore, Nevrax has handily made it a 30 second event to say 'I don't want to PvP right now' If you don't want to be attacked in Yrkanis, remove your PvP flag. Seems pretty simple. It will only take you 2 minutes to turn it off.

How on earth can this be harassment when someone choose to turn their PvP tag on?

Edit: We could just kill people and not give a reason, but again, after attempting to make it fit the game, have a little more meaning, etc. Yet another person says oh, you don't know how to RP shut up.

And pray tell, how is this different than Spires? It is not. You will have to PvP tag to participate and fall under the currently existing PvP rules.

@Lath: If you were engaged in a duel there is no way that anyone can attack a duel participant besides the 2 folks dueling. You get a message that say something like "you are trying to interfere in a fight that does not involve you"

This game has NO ganking in it. If you wish to PvP turn ON your flag if not turn it OFF, it is as simple as that.
