Noob Zone Mat-Stats

Post by aether4u »

I developed this little guide (mostly complete) by looking at the average stats of newbie-zone mats for Tryker. I don't know if the mats are different in other starting areas or not, but this should be somewhat useful to starting crafters. Basically, there's always one stat that stands out as the best, and two that are the worst; the rest are average, so I didn't list them. This will give you a good quick feel for what each mat excels at. If anyone has things to add to the list, feel free to post replies!

Anybody know what the Adversary xxx Modifiers are all about? Does a high rating mean it's easier or harder for an adversary to xxx?

ie. Adversary Parry Modifier

The way I did it was running the easy kill-type quests from each of the noob towns (I think there's 5?). I did so without buying any armor and blew all the dough on buying mats for crafting, and then crafting pistols over and over again. Then sell back & buy more.

Hi got some good tips for you, hunt for a long time to get materials, then sell them all to the npc's to get yourself a bit of money. With the money you can buy basic q10 mats from the raw merchant. You can buy lots of these because they are relatively cheap.

Off the top of my head i think for 1 pair of boots u need :

2 - Clothes - Basic fibre q10
2 - Resin - Basic glue q10
1 - Stuffing - Basic Pilan oil q10
1 - Armour Clip - Phial of basic sap q10

So i would craft them in quantities of 10 so you would need:

20x basic fibre
20x Resin
10x Stuffing
10x Armour Clip

Repeating this method is a very easy way to get crafting to 20 so you can begin to enhance the quality of your armours. With the experience i got from following this method that i developed i can now craft q30 light, medium and heavy armours. Using the basic materials does put a penalty on your armours but builds your exp quickly. Once you have saved up a small amount of money e.g. 100k you can begin to put enhancements and enchantments easily to your armour as you can buy high quality materials of experienced harvesters. Hope all this helps you :)

Sorry to be naive, but how does money factor in to enchanting? I've never done it before.

When you want to enchant sorry i got it wrong u have to crystilize a spell in order to add magic enchantments but u can buy mats from places on the mainland which add enhancements such as hp+10 n stuff which u can also buy from the skill trainer :)

For the best weapon you need Choice big shell, oath bark, buo fiber and I think it was Yanna wood counter weight (not sure on the counterweight, will look it up in game and report back). For an amp, you could use the oath bark, not sure if buo fiber or another kind is better, the MAIN thing is the amber...each kind makes different speed and power boosts for different spells.
I also know that amber tends to exhaust a tad sooner than most other nodes even with the best of care, you are going to be able to harvest THREE times more shaft mats than your focus.

For the MOST part, you want foraged materials if you are crafting to sell. The ONLY exclusion I have found thus far is light armor, in newb area I was just fiddling around and threw in ONE fine gingo ligament. I think the mix was Dzao fiber, glue resin, Koorin oil and gingo ligament. With just the foraged mats I was making 8.7% protection, with the gingo ligament, I hit 11%.

I suggest you get enough to make one item with EACH of the foraged materials you can get, mix and match until you get the item you want, with the EXACT stats you want. And write DOWN that combo.

Hi!

Sorry, Lyrah. For the best and dmg maxed weapon, you'll need Dzao as grip in terms of adversary dodge modifier. Yana is best used as hammer, it'll not be equalling Nita or Patee as counterweight, as it'd slow the weapon.
Agreed on the amp, only the focus counts. You might even craft merchant mat for shaft and grip, it doesn't matter for the amp's stats on magic boost.
For light armor, the only way to go is Shu, Moon, Visc and Gulatch, as this'll max out the dodge factor. It'll also be in nice red :D
That's in about what made my customers happy... :) ...no secret for an experienced Harvester.

CU, ;)
